regards Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Hi all, This evening i joined a pre-programmed offline mission in the F16 over the Caucasus map and from the point I jumped in, the aircraft was hardly controllable. No error messages whatsoever. Checked the balance of the payload but that was not the issue. Checked altitude hold and headingselect as well, turned them on and off but no luck.. Meanwhile I was able to keep the bird flying but not without intensive corrections on the stick and rudder. I am using the good old Saitek X52 pro Hotas and besides an easy 'repair' ( contactspray and compressed air) on the integrated rudder podometer, everything works as a charme, hardware-wise. I've experienced this behaviour before and I was still able to fly to the nearest airfield and landed without scratches. My main question is: Is this a bug in DCS or a feature? In the options page, 'random failures' checkbox is blank so this shouldn't cause this behaviour I guess. The second question: Where do we dial 7700 in the transponder and how does the DCS system react on that? And to raise levels..... 7500? ( yeah, sure..... in-flight hijacking a F16 single seater ( good luck) The third question... Would it be possible to navigate a 'loaded' viper over the Normandy map? I know that wouldn't be realistic IRL but for sheer fun, it would be great to alter history.

ilikepie Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 sure its not axis duplications? yeah check that, DCS notorious for it Action After Contemplation
regards Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 sure its not axis duplications? I guess not... In almost all other situations it runs predictable. However, I sometimes experience strange control behaviours while flying MP missions... For example: Offline, I have the slider on the throttle programmed as wheelbrakes and that's ok.... In several ( but not all) MP sessions the slider is not responding.... strange..

darkman222 Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Does your rudder pedals have wheel brakes? Often the wheel brakes are assigned as a joystick. So when you accidentally step just a little on them the stick goes crazy, which you wont see in the F16. And try to disable "synchoronize controls on start" maybe something gets switched, without you noticing.
