  1. I 'm lucky to have F-16 Pilot's radar manual but the sad news is that it is 'block 15S' related. May 1st 1985..
  2. That would only work as long as there's global coverage in DCS as well as many tankers on the route:smartass:
  3. Ran in to the exact same 'problem' this morning and your quick fix was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks a lot
  4. Ok, I see, I apologies. I sat in the real F16 cockpit ( 315sqdr EHTW) and didn't notice it. I doubt if the early A/B models were equiped with tinted canopies in the late 80's-90's. Have to say that the plane was parked in the shelter so no direct sun light. nec timide nec tumide
  5. Funny.... I read many customer complaints about the lack of realisme in DCS. Now ED has put effort in the glare effect.... wrong again for some. Fact is that this glare effect is pretty accurate, compared to the real F16. Probably not 100% but very close. To me, myself and I it isn't realy a problem though. Happy flying.
  6. I would call it a cheat, rather then a bug. To be honest: I have selected unlimited weapons as well . After i dropped the first set, I switch to another mode and back ... I know that is far from the real world but saves re-arms at the field.
  7. I'm not in your shoes ofcourse but I was desperate to have a specific fighter in my hangar, I would pay those $49,99 instead of torchering myself waiting for the next sale.. Based on a 25% discount you would save a whopping $12,50. But again, I'm not in your shoes and these are only my thoughts..
  8. IRL you wouldn't even come close I think:pilotfly:
  9. With all respect in the world but.... Why don't you take a hike? We will dig you up as soon as there's relevant news for you. This is not a flame but a sincere advice. Meanwhile, I'll upgrade DCS and FLY..... But for now, first things first: Pizza!!
  10. Seriously? Sounds like either a bug ( in that case you should place your post in the appropriate directory) or you have set up your plane incorrectly. BTW: 160nm is offcourse much to far away to handle for your missiles Anyhow: PLEASE consider a different approach to express your thoughts.. Thanks
  11. No worries mate, I was just joking...
  12. With all kinds of respect but..... I think 20 minutes/weekend isn't enough time to even master your plane of choice, let alone creating a mission and play it. DCS is a hobby that consumes a lot of your time, period :pilotfly:
  13. Why would you look down at your seat? To check if your diaper is leaking ? Just push negative G's and if the shit passes your neck you know something went wrong.. :-)
  14. No-one forced you to buy the ( EA) F16C.. I did and so far without regret. True, the viper isn't finished yet but the basics are ok now... Approach it like building a house.... Foundation, walls and roof.... they are all realized in a decent time-frame... But the electrics, water, gas, tiles, kitchen, bathrooms etc. usualy take much more time.. You get my point? I agree with you that progress feels like slowing down at the moment but I'm confident that the ED team still works hard to improve the viper. Keep the faith and don't run away please:pilotfly: Happy flying.
  15. As my late brother ( GA, CT-114, CF-5,NF-5, F-16A/B, Boeing 747 and 777) always said: Every landing of wich you're able to walk away from is concidered to be a successful one... Not sure if taking a drink in the ocean was successful in his opinion though. But that's a real-life question..... No idea how this should translate to DCS :pilotfly:
  16. Make sure you don't try to hook on a Russian tanker.......
  17. I agree beyond 100% mate.. Drove many cars in my life, including Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren (Hell, that was funnnn) but my daily is still the king of all bone shakers to me..a 2002 MG-TF 135... :pilotfly:
  18. I think a fighterplane ( any) shouldn't have character at all in terms of handling. That is simply not the goal of a fighterjet. For example: the F-35 is ( imho) ugly to the bone but...... It goes where the pilot wants it to go. Kind of point and click that is. Managing the weapon systems is different cup of tea. About the F16: I love that bird. Performance, design and looks, the sound also.. I personaly think ED did an excellent job in simulating the real thing It's not finished of course but..... The first F16 dates from the late '70's and is still in production.
  19. Golf Foxtrot 1, Golf Foxtrot 2, Golf Foxtrot 3, etc.... Let her do the math so you can move on to Golf Foxtrot 4 and beyond. Happy flying!
  20. Mach 1.99 or 2.05 is irrelevant on a fighterjet without some packages of democracy. Personally, I wouldn't enter hostile airspace without loads of clear messages V-max is only useful after you delivered the payload and get the hell back home for a cup of tea.
  21. Are you sure that you use the same log-in account on both versions?
  22. Without G-suit, many people will black out at >7G I'm not sure but is it possible that a G-suit is not implemented yet? To be honest: I haven't even checked my own G-load but had several black-outs. In real life I've done 4G and I felt pretty comfortable with it. That was in PH-MRC and PH-MRG btw
  23. I can only agree with these wise words.
