Svsmokey Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 So i'm about to transfer my dcs installation to a new pc . I would like to do so by moving the ssd it is on to the new unit . Can i login on the new pc after the transfer and all good , or do i have to uninstall the modules before transfer ? Plan is to copy the contents of the sata ssd to an m.2 in the new pc and run a repair . I'll prolly redo bindings and settings . Modules are : Hornet Albatross Huey FC3 NTTR Persian Gulf 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2
Eldur Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 As far as I'm aware of, there's no StarForce anymore and I just hopped into my module manager to see there are no keys listed anymore. I think the last ones have been changed recently due to the free trial weeks. So just copy it over and everything should work fine.
silverdevil Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 my only advice is to deactivate the modules before doing anything on the new rig. Because there is a limit to how many times the modules can be activated before you cannot do it anymore. i believe 10 times. as long as you deactivate you will be able to reinstall forever. i would also recommend installing on new rig like normal then copy the data in the saved games folder over. This is where most of the important stuff to personalize your settings is stored. Svsmokey Posted May 6, 2020 Author Posted May 6, 2020 Thanks , gentlemen . Is "deactvate" the same as "disable" in the module manager ? 9700k @ stock , Aorus Pro Z390 wifi , 32gb 3200 mhz CL16 , 1tb EVO 970 , MSI RX 6800XT Gaming X TRIO , Seasonic Prime 850w Gold , Coolermaster H500m , Noctua NH-D15S , CH Pro throttle and T50CM2/WarBrD base on Foxxmounts , CH pedals , Reverb G2v2

It was 10 activations keys + 10 deactivation keys, and after you used your last activation key you got one key more after month of the last activation. So you always had one key to activate. But that is a past and now you have keyless system. i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
