In Carrier modul description is mentioned following systems:

The ship also includes a formidable air defense system that includes the RIM-7 Sea Sparrow Missile and RIM-116 Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) missiles, and Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) gun system.
Which systems will be completed when SC released?

Is there any detailed info about these systems? version of system, abilities, reload times, ranges, guidance, ext...

Its gonna be basically like the other ships in DCS at release. Maaaybe they will get around to modeling real ship air defenses "later".

Yup, the Phalanx should be pretty easy to code. Just bolt the gun from an A10C into a turret and you're sorted. :)

The Phalanx does not use the 30mm GAU-8 that is in the Warthog.

It uses the 20mm M61 Vulcan that is found in various fighter aircraft (such as the F/A-18, F-16, F-15, F-14, F-105, etc), some AC-130 gunships, and the Army M163.

PC: MSI X670E, Ryzen 9 7900X, 64GB DDR5 RAM, RTX 3090 Ti, TM Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Pro Flight pedals, Opentrack

Especially the American CIWS is super bad.

It's not even using the right ammunition...

Watched it, it's still using the wrong ammunition...

Yup...tracers. The combat load for Vulcan Phalanx CIWS is a tungsten discarding sabot ammunition that doesn't have tracers in the mix. Back in the 80's and early 90s when I was a CIWS tech, the ball ammo we used for training had tracers every 9th round. Ball ammo wore the barrels more than the discarding sabot, but when I was on the carrier, they only let us shoot the sabot stuff once...covered the flight deck with pieces of the nylon sabots. The Air Boss "cordially" invited us to join the FOD walkdown.

I can forgive them for using tracer, but was more concerned with the mount on the starboard side forward engaging incoming missiles on the port side.

Very Respectfully,

Will do little spam here, where questioning Razbam devs about Tarawa defence systems:

What about RIM-166? When it will be included?

How much targets can be engaged simultaneously?

How ships AI decides about target priority (enemy aircraft and antiship missile incoming)?

What type of radar guidance Phalanx (CIWS) uses?

What is the reload time for all these defensive systems?

What about AN/SLQ-32 and Mk53 NULKA defensive systems?

So I would like to use same questions here, except the different fire control system than SSDS Mk2.

Adding here question about implementation of Mark 36 Super Rapid Bloom Offboard Countermeasures Chaff and Decoy ... (abbreviated as SRBOC or "Super-arboc")

Edit: Why some advanced automatic aiming systems have in lua script defined same sensor accuracy as much older or simplier systems like Shilka and Vulcan? The numbers defined there are good for these two, but we are lacking much percise sensor defined in new WSN_9 for advanced guidance systems. No wonder that Phalanx can hit cruise missile only due to HUGE bullet spread (already reported as a Bug to ED).

(Chinese DEKA CAP antiship missiles not able to be destroyed by bullets now).
