randomTOTEN Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 (edited) Asymmetric parasite drag. Equivalent (though not identical) to a yaw input, or an engine failure in multi-engine aircraft (not center line thrust). Put a bunch of large bombs on one wing and in level flight look at the ball. FightsOn Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Sideslip indicator has nothing to do with trimming out assymetric loadout. I beg to differ having flown the F/A-18 with asymmetric loadouts...
Razor18 Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 Yeah, I only tought about roll trimm. Rudder for sure.
xXMustangXx Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Does the Hornet has a wind (direction and Speed) indicator like the F16 does? Thanks
randomTOTEN Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Yeah there's a readout of the direction and speed on the A/C position page of the HSI.
Nealius Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Yeah there's a readout of the direction and speed on the A/C position page of the HSI. Direction and speed of wind, not of the aircraft.
randomTOTEN Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 Did I read his post wrong? I believe that was exactly what he was asking for....
