71st_Mastiff Posted June 5, 2020 Posted June 5, 2020 The Gamma seems to be ok outside the cockpit but inside the cockpit, I cant see numbers or letters with out turning outside gamma to 2.5 in high noon! even the lights turned on and cockpit flash light aren't bright enough.. DerVulf Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Same here. I cant tell a difference whether instrument lights are on or off. I'll have to try it out at night to see what that looks like
cellinsky Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Maybe have a look at the monitor calibration. I have mine calibrated for design-work, means full range of grays visible and colors matched for sRGB-standart. I use gamma 2.2 in sim and can see all letters clearly. In fact P-47s cockpit looks perfect and older warbirds look very washed out inside. Kind of vise-versa to youre experience.
Art-J Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 I use gamma 1.8 plus cockpit global illumination ON and for me the only problem is gauges and markings being too small, cockpit ergonomics clearly inferior to that of a Mustang. Colours are quite good actually, at least compared to aforementioned washed out all other warbirds. I might want to have the pit a tad lighter to see colour markings on the gauges better, but cranking the gamma will make everything ouside bleached-out even worse. I'd wait for the first OpenBeta hotfixes to arrive tomorrow and see if they solve some of the general lighting issues brought with the last update. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
ac5 Posted August 23, 2020 Posted August 23, 2020 Same here. With my settings of even gamma 2.2 or 2.4 ALL the other planes are OK, but the P-47 is too dark in the cockpit.
