toro 6 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 After last update I have been having a problem with the DCS multiplayer server list. Within a minute or so after entering the multiplayer list screen it becomes unresponsive. Task Manager indicates DCS is still responding. Only way to fix is to restart DCS...anyone else encounter this? Solution?
Cepheus76 Posted June 6, 2020 Posted June 6, 2020 Same here, the server list is sometimes frozen right away.
Fudge Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 I have the same issue, if I filter servers before the freeze however it seems to still work, so maybe a hardware issue? i5 2500k is my weakest component.
toro 6 Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 I am running an I7-6700 3.4 Ghz with 32 Gig ram have screaming internet connection..so I tend to doubt that it is hardware problem. I run DCS just fine???? will post if I find anything
Sir Gus Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Same here...servers list starts to refresh and after some secs the whole game freezes.

Scoofer Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 81/5000 Server list and weapon menu continue to freeze or load very slowly
Wing Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Currently experiencing this same issue since the last DCS update. Any word on this BigNewey or NineLine? Cannot join a MP server now due to this bug, so it is game breaking. www.v303rdFighterGroup.com | v303 FG Discord
Willie Nelson Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 A workaround that I have found for the time being is simply to type the first few letters of the server you’re after and then you should limit the list such that you can select the one you want without the screen locking up. It’s obviously no good for looking for a new server randomly but it might get you out of the woods. i7700k OC to 4.8GHz with Noctua NH-U14S (fan) with AORUS RTX2080ti 11GB Waterforce. 32GDDR, Warthog HOTAS and Saitek rudders. coughlinjon Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 I am still getting this GUI bug. I also freeze pretty hard at the roles list once entering a server and I freeze for a few seconds every time I try to add a weapon in the ground crew menu.
UWBuRn Posted January 11, 2021 Posted January 11, 2021 Happening a lot also to me, if the server list gets long it freezes and i have to kill DCS from the task manager.
treblarom Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Hi all! I had the same problem. I had installed it on my main m2 drive (Windows drive) and it would freeze every time in the server list. Changing it to another unit and problem solved. Sorry for my english!
Bizarro Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 Same problem here, with DCS installed on main SSD with Win10 install.
zli Posted January 20, 2021 Posted January 20, 2021 Same problem...everything worked fine a few days ago.
Teemino Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 Same problem, as soon as the server list is fully refreshed the game freezes... So I need to be quick enough before the full refresh while the lagging refresh is going on to join my server :/
Flappie Posted January 25, 2021 Posted January 25, 2021 I'm unable to reproduce this. Can you guys attach a dcs.log file showing the issue? ---

The only difference we have is the SOUND step ("Using SSE3 for peak calc") which, from my end, is done before the NET part. Could it be the source of the problem? It would be interesting to get logs from other participants of this thread. Are you using a VPN or a firewalling software different from default Windows Defender? What is your antivirus?
