Yes I'm asking about the Black Hawk not the Black Shark since the Uh-60 Black hawk is one of my all-time favorite helicopter. Anyway, I was watching the movie "Black Hawk Down," and I have a request to ED. I was wondering is it possible to modify the new model in Black Shark to have the Black Hawk with the radar on the nose, like in the movie. I forgot exactly which varient is it called, its just the one with the round radar sticking out in the middle of the nose and the 2 gatlin guns on the side. Even though it may look "uglier" compared to the clean version of the black shark, i think that varient looks the best IMHO.

Also, i have a question about the AI. If i was flying the Ka-50 next to the Black Hawk in BS, will it shoot me down with its side cannons or the AI is not smart enough to do that?

You mean this Black Hawk?

I believe it is the same "round radar" as you described. And yes I agree I like this variant of the Black Hawk, it looks pretty good. Then again, I find even the An-225 attractive, and that's like a whale. :P

YES that's the Black Hawk I'm taking about SKF! Only in black hawk down, it had two gatlin guns sticking out from the windows. And I'm not asking it as a flyable, just add this varient of the Black Hawk into Black Shark as an AI. The current 3d model looks great, if the 3d artist could just add that little round radar, i would truly adore you.

Is it too difficult to add a flyable Black Hawk? I mean, it has no complex weapon, radar, fire control systems etc. Just the gatlin guns on the sides... Flying extraction and deployment missions would be great, while apaches or Black Sharks provide excort. Like in Longbow2...

That would be the Pave Hawk then.

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Yes, it is too difficult.

The entire systems, as in Black Shark, would have to be modeled - that means aerodynamics/FM, engine modeling, all the switches, electricals, etc etc.

Not the Pave Hawk, he is referring to MH-60(L/K) Black Hawk used by the 160th SOAR. Personally, I would actually disagree with seeing them in-game, since compared to regular Black Hawks, there are very few of them, and even then they would very rarely fly during the day. Having them as the default Black Hawk model would not be realistic at all.

Now if they were player-flyable, then I would love to see them. :)

I'm not saying replace the original Black Shark in BS with the L/K version. Just add that particular varient of the model in it.

To the beta testers or ED, so can the Black Hawk actually fire its weapons if I'm flying next to it.

Right now, no. This was intended though, so perhaps it just hasn't been implemented yet. Not sure if it will be before release. In regards to developing another version of the Blackhawk - actually I do believe there may be two included. If so, I'm not sure what the second one is, but I don't think it's radar-equipped.

The radome in the nose, isnґt a weather radar ? They are very important at Amazonia Operational Theatre.

All that "black cone" is the Doppler Radar. The other doom you see on some other models is FLIR (forward looking infrared). On some of the older PaveHawks the Doppler is off to the left side in fromt of the copilot. But there was a mod being done when I got out to move it to the middle like on the L/K models because it was blocking part of the FLIR view. And unless Doppler Radar is being implemented it's just eye candy.
