What HOTAS throttle options are out there?

Want to make sure I'm aware of all of them.

 

There's the Virpil Mongoos thingy, the Warthog throttle, and... Who else makes one of similar quality?

 

Unless Luis Rossmann can come through with a fix for my Cougar microstick, i think a new throttle is my only real option.

Virpil just teased/showed off a new line of modular throttle and panel components and VKB is going to release their big buttony console one in the near? future

The sad thing is that all of those switches on the base are becoming superfluous with VR. Sometimes less is more.

Yeah, eventually with proper native hand tracking support, all that expensive hardware could be replaced by leftover cardboard.

On the other hand, the good thing about all of those switches is, not everybody uses VR. ;)

Defective micro stick is easy to replace - but of course, a good excuse for buy a new throttle. :D

 

Just need a ALPS RKJXV1224005 mini joystick, and a piece of breadboard for PCB, and of course some solder.

I've looked for numerous microstick replacements, but nobody has any. Zero - even that quantity says 0. 3 month lead-time to construct one? Yikes.

 

I'd prefer to just use my Cougar TQS as it's infinitely cheaper than trying to buy a new one.

Rephrase that....most people don't use VR!
