I just bought map, and its well done, good job pushing old engine and keeping good optimization.

But lets back to meritum, Its possible to you as creator to mark helipads on maps?

Theres so many of them with is absolutly amazing, and allow to more heli missions. But hard to find tho :D.

That'd be very helpful indeed!

(I reckon that at some point, a kind community member will create some sort of overview map for this. However it would be nice to be able to see these helipads in the mission editor)

Agreed. Here is what I have so far. Soon to be released on ED Userfiles, hopefully. What do you think? Anything you would add or remove?

I hope this can be a community effort because spotting these things is tricky.

Two north of Damascus (near the presidential palace):

33° 29' 59.66"N 36° 12' 49.07"E

33° 30' 34.08"N 36° 13' 42.39"E

Post it on google docs instead of the user files. That makes it a lot easier to maintain and keep up to date.

Perhaps we could mark these locations on the map. Just like snoopy did in this thread.

I might be able to do this tomorrow after work.

I was originally considering how to add them into the region chart on my map, or to add simple diagrams for them, maybe Enroute Supplement Style,

https://www.airservicesaustralia.com/aip/current/ersa/FAC_YSHW_13AUG2020.pdf

Will keep an eye on this thread and try and figure if theres a way to build them in or add a separate Helicopter Supplement.

Guys superb job with posting locations where, helipads are located.

It might be very helpfull for many rotorheads here.

But Urga, wont be easy for them to find helipads by looking at textures/3d model names? I do belive with editing tools they have would be just few min. of work.

Unless its possible from modding level to do so?

We have been trying to list them as well. If only they were marked on the map or even better, usable as a respawn point with refuel/rearm capabilities just like any other airport.

This is great. Is there an equivalent to this for Caucasus somewhere?

I don't think there are any helipads at all in the Caucasus map. At least not as detailed as these in Syria.

Anyways... make sure to check out this thread for the Syria helipads, as it is more up to date and I added a mission where you'll find all landing platforms marked on the mission map
