As the Hornets development focus moves away from more and more weapons, and starts to shift towards things like INS simulation (good job on that btw ED). It might be time to talk about some of the long standing bugs with the HSI and the Hornets general navigation, along with some of the yet to be seen features.

Here are a few bugs that I have found over the past year or so. A few of them haven't had official bug reports until now:

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=285831 -HSI Scale and DMS

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=260332 -HSI Mode layout and TAMMAC

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=284751 -DDI DMS

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=285836 -T UP bug

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=285841 -Command heading wind correction

There will of course be more bugs to be found.

There are also a fair amount of exciting features left to be added:

-OAP, Offset Aim Points to create steering and aiming cues to points offset by an entered distance and bearing from an existing waypoint.

-MK, Markpoints, afaik can be dropped under the aircraft or on an existing designation(need to verify this) to create a steering and aiming cue that can be recalled later.

-GRID, the mighty MGRS, another way of entering waypoints eg 40S GH 1234567890

-SLEW, The ability to use the TDC to slew a waypoints position or to update the INS by slewing the digital map.

-ACL, using datalink with the boat to generate glideslope and lineup cues, similar to ICLS but with a few benefits

-TAMMAC, Tactical Aircraft Moving Map Capability, the various Charts, DTED(Digital Terrain Elevation Database), CIB(Controlled Image Base) that can be displayed under the HSI symbology on the HSI or SA page.

These lists are, of course, none exhaustive. However I think they help highlight some of the things that we haven't heard much clamouring for on the hornet.

Hopefully we can see some of these items realised so that our hornet can become less of a lifeless shell upon which mountains of smart munitions have been piled.

Perhaps it might be time for a hefty HSI update?

Nice list. I'd also like to add some stuff to it.

Since our Hornet is equipped with GPS, it should be able to store up to 200 GPS waypoints and they can be used as Sequence waypoints via the DATA menu.

The remaining options on the WYPT sub-page, REF WP being a very useful one, allowing you to navigate to a certain WP, while inputting data for another WP - this should help with situations where you can accidentally overwrite your current WP.

INSCK is another useful function that can let you know what, if anything, is wrong with the INS, so you can react accordingly.

Another one is the incorrect behavior of the TAWS Radar altitude warning with WonW. It's supposed to reset to 0 upon the engagement of the WonW sensor, once. Right now, the WonW reset is always running when on the ground, preventing us from setting a value on the ground.

A/C sub menu is also partially implemented, and doesn't give accurate info (wind is one example).

And speaking of the HSI, what about the HSI related HOTAS commands? The one that cycles HSI and SA is very important in my opinion.
