gdotts Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 With a Thrustmaster Warthog with throttle combo, dedicated switches defaults go to DMS, TMS, China Hat, Coolie. Where do the all the views come into the works... on the keyboard? In all my other DCS planes I have (1) 4-way switch and a modifyer to handle all the views and not the keyboard. What do you have views set up as?
Foka Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 Well, you can configure your controls as you wish. Primary role of POV switch is trim and it's very needed in A-10. If you want to use it with paddle as modifier just do it in config. Since we have HMCS flying w/o any sort of head movement tracking will be really pain in the a*.
LeCuvier Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 I agree with Foka. You really need a head tracker. Trying to follow a bandit with view commands in a dogfight is a recipe for quick death. And a HMD can only be used with a head tracker. Personally I use TrackIR. Yurgon Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Thread is duplicate of https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=288161. Was it necessary to ask the same question twice within 4 days? On topic, yes, I use TrackIR for internal views. For screenshots or the occasional outside view, I reach for the F keys.
