Hoirtel Posted October 6, 2020 Posted October 6, 2020 Possible problems when using the SLAM in PP mode with manual co-ordinate entry. Firstly none of the elevations appeared on the MSN page when added. Secondly after launch when unboxing the SLAM to get Data Link view you lose alignment on all other SLAMs loaded. Not sure if any of this is normal or a bug(s). Thanks
Sandman1330 Posted October 16, 2020 Posted October 16, 2020 I have the elevation issue as well. I can enter coords in PP mode, but it will not accept the elevation value. It won't show the elevation on the display, and won't remove the X over the PP1 to allow use of that pre-planned target. I haven't tried firing anyway yet, but with the X still through the PP1 I don't expect it to work. Steps taken: Hot start on runway, 3 x SLAM and 1 x Datalink Enter STRS, select SLAM, SLAM Display, Msn Enter Lat / Long via TGT UFC (no problem) Go to Elev via TGT UFC, select feet or meters, enter elevation data, hit enter Entered data does not reflect on DDI in MSN page and the PP1 remains X'd out Track is attached.SLAM Test.trk Ryzen 7 5800X3D / Asus Crosshair VI Hero X370 / Corsair H110i / Sapphire Nitro+ 6800XT / 32Gb G.Skill TridentZ 3200 / Samsung 980 Pro M.2 / Virpil Warbrd base + VFX and TM grips / Virpil CM3 Throttle / Saitek Pro Combat pedals / Reverb G2
AvroLanc Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 It still works. Tried it loads. It might actually be a feature. It’s an 80’s tech weapon with a hodgepodge of components. I wouldn’t be surprised if the real weapon doesn’t use elevation, remember it needs man in the loop anyway - all the time. The cruise alt/flight profile means that a precise elevation isn’t needed. ED may be in the process of readjustment in light of the SLAM-ER coming soon.

Aiming for a higher target should affect the maximum rage when released from a certain altitude.
