hene- Posted October 17, 2008 Posted October 17, 2008 (edited) Installed HDRmod, and my resolution went 1680x1050 to something smaller. Why? In Lock On settings it is still that 1650x1050. I modified graphics.cfg and set Interface to 1680x1050, that fixed problem. But loading screens etc. are too big now. And in flight, my radio command window goes out of screen, so I cant see texts. PythonOne Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 is there a way to get rid of the words on the main screen, something about GTA vice city?

hitman Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Should only appear in the main screen. Besides...you can always pretend that you car jacked that pilot for that airplane, picked up a hooker, recieved services, ran hooker over and got your money back, and um...going to learn how to parachute out of an airplane. :|
hene- Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 If you would have read the thread you would know why. I have read it, but did not find solution for that. Or is there any?
hene- Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Nope. Cant find solution for missing radio commands list. At in the game startup, when the Pause box is on screen, it is'nt middle of the screen. And resolution is right, 1680x1050.
hitman Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) You said your resolution wasnt at 1680x1050 in game. If your having so many problems with this mod, why are you using it? I had half the problems with this thing than you are having, I still wont use it. It lowering itself to a smaller resolution and in windowed mode were 2 issues I didnt want to contend with. As far as the radio commands, Im positive that its directly related to your resolution. Your windows are shrunk in size (1024x768 ) and your game is running a screen larger than the borders (1280x1024). If you cant fix the resolution, and its bothering you that bad, then dont use it. This was definately not made for this game, and should stay as such IMHO. Edited October 22, 2008 by hitman
crazysundog Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Just thought I'd bump this thread and show a couple of screens I took this morning. I've recently upgraded my computer, and since DCS:BS wont be out for a while in NA, I thought I'd try out Flaming Cliffs for the first time. :joystick: Now I have my X52 bound, got my mods installed, [thanks all for the wonderful mods!!] and am giving my E8500 C2D a workout! -not to mention his buddy, the GTX260 Core216 Superclocked edition graphics card... Am really loving this HDR mod, I toned it down a little but looks pretty:D :pilotfly:
Esac_mirmidon Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Crazysundog, could you share your mod settings with us please? " You must think in russian.." crazysundog Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Sure! I DL'd Bramski's tweaked .ini from post #112, and replaced it. It was close to what I wanted, but not excactly... So, I opened the original enbseries .ini - and the tweaked .ini so that I could compare the differences between values. I've got some time so I'll give you a breakdown on what I found and did: Bramski's Original/Br's New/My New value. BloomFadeTime=1600/changed to 150/ I set it to =250 I think this was the major factor, but I'll let you decide for yourself...I did more tweaks than just this. Here's my .ini so you can try for yourself!!
Esac_mirmidon Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Thanks a lot mate ¡¡¡ I also tweaked my files with great results IMHO, but is good to see others work. Thanks again, this afternoon i will try it... " You must think in russian.." Esac_mirmidon Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Great tweak Crazysundog...¡¡¡¡ Better than mine. More contrast between light and dark, more brilliant lights and an overal better aspect. crazysundog Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 O.K. no problem! I just finished really testing this HDR mod and took a lot of screenshots, and saved a lot of different configurations of the .ini, so if you see a screenshot you like, and want to try the .ini just let me know and I'll post it on here!! Here are my findings: :smartass: 1. BloomPowerDay, BloomFadeTime, DarkeningAmount, DarkeningAmountDay, and Illumination have the biggest impact on visuals. Bloom and Illumination are self-explanatory, but the DarkeningAmountDay has a massive impact; shown below. I have D.A.D set at 15; ...and 50; ...and 100; As you can see, huge differences are seen. Not much between 50 and 100, but a huge difference between 15 and 50!!
crazysundog Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 here's a couple pics with the HDR mod and AntonioGatti's sky mod. Unfortunatly tekateka's treeshademod2.0 does not work with Antonio's mod installed, but I will not be using the SkyMod all the time anyway. By the way, I made two different .ini's; one for use with Skymod, one for regular use. As you can see, the shadows stand out too much... Kuky Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 mods or no mods, those forests are there in default textures, HIGH scenery ;) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
crazysundog Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 mods or no mods, those forests are there in default textures, HIGH scenery ;) Yeah, thats right, default scenery on high! Anyway, I did some more experimenting with this mod and found its not only the bloom but also the shadow that works... I made an .ini file with bloom set to =0 [off] and shadow set high, [dont forget to set shadow to =1] and took a coupla screenies with and without the Skymod. These are taken with the Skymod [thanks Antonio!] and HDRmod uninstalled.... And these are the results of the HDR mod with bloom turned off, and shadows turned on. I turned the shadows up high to show the contrast, all the better to show it actually works!! I really hope this works in Black Shark!!
S D Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 Hi, i'm posting this in relation to a problem i've found while using the HDR mod. On a certain mission (quite a big one) i have found that using the HDR bloom, causes my game to freeze briefly then the screen goes black, the game then seems to return with full control and sounds but no visual (still black). Has anyone had any similar problems? Cheers.
shaggy Posted November 9, 2008 Posted November 9, 2008 If i put scenery on high it doesent work for me, i always flied with the high scenery but never seen as many trees. Majesco Posted November 10, 2008 Posted November 10, 2008 Birdy666 made a mod called..."FC High Scenery Mod 1.1" which has many trees added. Filesize of the addon is also bigger than the default one (High Scene) / but the addon no longer exists at Lockonfiles
