Would be great if the basket didn’t automatically detach and fly past you upon reaching a full top up.

 

+1. Wish they'd simulate the basket being retracted back towards the tanker after you've topped off or called an abort on refueling (whichever is performed first).

There was some talk in the past about improved boom physics too but I haven't heard about this in a while.... It would be great to have all this revisited and also simulate the aerodynamic interactions with the basket

The basket definitely needs at least a rudimentary collision model. It's a serious buzz kill after refueling and the basket clips all the way back into my lap in the cockpit. I think this should be somewhat prioritized.
