30mikemike Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 Hi guys...quick question, how do I reset the Tpod? ie reset to boresight? Thanks... i7 8700k @ 5.0ghz. Strix GTX1080Ti. 32GB RAM @ 3600. 2x Hyper X SSD’s with DCS on one. Oculus Rift S. Asus PG278-QR. Liquid Series PC with liquid CPU and GPU cooling.
Mustang25 Posted November 1, 2020 Posted November 1, 2020 There is no boresight function, the closest you can get is snowplow (SP) mode. When DTOS is implemented that can be another way to get the TGP boresighted.
Florence201 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Pressing CZ will bring the TGP back to the current Steerpoint. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Furiz Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Pressing CZ will bring the TGP back to the current Steerpoint. Do not press CZ (or TMS down), it will lock it to the STP and bug it.
fudabidu Posted November 3, 2020 Posted November 3, 2020 Do not press CZ (or TMS down), it will lock it to the STP and bug it. Thank you very much for spreading wrong information. Yes, CZ (or TMS down) will lock your SPI to the selected waypoint. That's what it's meant to do. If you want to slew your TGP you need to go into AREA track first, either by TMS up or TMS right. It's not a bug, it's RTFM

Frederf Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Pressing TMS aft a whole bunch and the TGP getting "stuck" to the steerpoint and unable to slew isn't a bug. I think ED may have gotten it slightly wrong in that this "CZ and slave" is possibly supposed to be a double-click TMS aft and not a single press at the end of a chain but that's a small detail. Either way you TMS right and slew and life goes on. There is supposed to be a "hands on CZ" at least in some variants of F-16. The MLU docs mention it and it's likely USAF jets are the same way. The major SPI issue is that it's possible for a non-slaved tracking and SOI TGP can become divorced from SPI. TD box is pointing one way and valid TGP is pointing another and that's definitely a bug. With SP or DTOS properly simulated the TGP LOS will be slaved in that direction and going directly into tracking (and that resulting in a proper SPI) will be a direct way to put TGP on the terrain regardless of STPT location.

It's not a bug, it's RTFM Ofc, but in the process it bugs, and even tho you can move your TGP your SPI doesn't update, so your LGB or Mavs go to that CZ point rather than to the targeted point.

I just go to snowplow, TMS up, then I can slew again as spi, even after being locked to the steerpoint.
