hawa0835 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Is the coming GRID-system connected with FLIR?
ED Team NineLine Posted November 2, 2020 ED Team Posted November 2, 2020 No, they two have nothing to do with each other, thanks. Forum Rules • My YouTube • My Discord - NineLine#0440• **How to Report a Bug**
hawa0835 Posted November 2, 2020 Author Posted November 2, 2020 I mean, that is integrated, and can be slaved to the GRID-position.
MrReynolds Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Grid = waypoint = slaveable. Just like how you would alter WP coordinates. Guess they haven't gotten around to doing anything with JTAC - even just giving him the ability to offer....coordinates ;-)
Jak525 Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 GRID coordinates are just another way of defining a waypoint. Any waypoint can be made the A/G designation (WPDSG pushbutton). The FLIR slaves to the A/G designation, whatever it may be. Tl;dr yes, but GRID is a coordinate entry method, it's not directly related to the FLIR.
randomTOTEN Posted November 2, 2020 Posted November 2, 2020 Perhaps he's asking if there's a way to display MGRS/UTM coordinates on the TGP display?
Ziptie Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 Perhaps he's asking if there's a way to display MGRS/UTM coordinates on the TGP display? +1 That is exactly how I interpreted the OP. I would also like to know this information, so I will reiterate what I believe the OP was asking: With the incoming UTM / GRID coordinate format for the Hornet - will you be able to have the coordinates displayed on the FLIR in UTM/GRID format, rather than just the current lat/long format? Thanks.
