Carrier follows waypoints even when planes are inbound and about to trap

Last night, I was doing a Case III recovery with a fellow of mine, after a mission, and carrier changed her course while we were landing (my fellow was less than 3nm behind the carrier, all setup for landing), although we announced our inbound and followed all the strict procedures and communications required by Case III recovery.

Now, I understand that carrier didn't do anything more than what the mission editor established, by giving her a waypoint plan to follow. Nonetheless, I think that, while planes are inbound, carrier shouldn't follow her navigation plan until inbound aircrafts are safely trapped on the deck.

Totally agree, although I can understand that this could cause problems on a busy server where there are constant aircraft coming in, so if not that - at the very least carrier advises inbound aircraft that it will be making a course correction 5 minutes out and repeating to any other aircraft who call inbound, etc and not give charlie?

It'd be nice for the boat to broadcast a warning of an impending turn, and it'd be even nicer if it then broadcast that the turn had been completed and the new BRC/FB is xxx. My RIO has heard many a swearword as I've settled into the groove or have just passed final contact and the ship has started to turn.

Then again, I have no idea how it's done IRL.

This is correct as is at the moment, the waypoints set by the mission designer is the path it will follow.

Then it appears that it is a comms issue as Biggus posted above. The ship must turn when ordered. Just let us know when and we can adjust.

Hopefully this can be addressed with the new comms currently being worked on.
