So what is the procedure if doing a case 3and then you bolter? Do you just go back into the pattern again like in case 1, or do you go out to 6 miles astern and try again?

Climb to 1,200 feet at 150 kts and raise the gear to save fuel, leaving flaps down. When instructed by approach, turn downwind. Perform the landing checks on downwind, and notify approach with fuel state when abeam the ship. Expect a turn back to final 4-8 NM past abeam for another approach, lowering the landing gear as you start this turn to final.

Per P-816.

Is this working with the comms as of now? As far as I can tell, but I haven't tested much, after you bolter and re-comm in to mother they will always send you back to the stack to start from scratch. Hopefully it's planned to have a more dynamic response from mother where you don't have to restart the comm procedure on a case-iii bolter and just do the procedure and then get a call to turn downwind then rejoin the final bearing instead of getting told to go back to the stack and do the whole thing over again.

You can see my version of the CASE III approach with background traffic + bolter and working with approach to be squeezed back into the arrival flow in the campaign I'm working on - I've done as much as I could with the present restrictions on DCS (no separate TWR/APP/Marshal freq., etc.). I hope you'll like it. Still WIP.
