Why are changelogs posted if there are no changes yet?

Is there any logical reason?

So that people can check out the changes beforehand and discuss them. When the update is live, I wanna fly, not read.
Why should they hold the changelog back if they already have it put together?!

because it's a log, for when an update goes live. the changes where made public a while ago.

But i've just learned the update is rolling out a bit later.

The log is put too early / the update is late.

Guess there was a hick-up of some sorts.

Uhm no, it doesn't tell you when the update goes live. It tells you what it will change and I very much prefer to know this before the update goes live!

We always post patch notes before the patch is live. In this case the patch took longer than expected and we asked for your patience when this happens.

The patch is live now, please post in the correct forum area in the future.

thanks
