fixed No 3D models in Steam version!

So I bought this module to use with the SA-342 with the 3D model implemented but then I found out that it will not work. 

 

Is there any ETA for it to properly work on steam?

What is your version of DCS ? Only avalaible since 2.5.6.59625 for Gazelle.

The latest as steam automatically updates. It just updated with today's open beta release.

The NS430 3D model doesn't work in the Gazelle, in the steam version.

Yes.

 

The module is properly installed but only the 3D view doesn't work.

 

It's a known issue - not a issue on my end.

I have the Module in steam, but in no cockpit i see the 3D Modell in any cockpit (c101, Mi8,Gazelle)

Firstly Steam has nothing to do with anything.    What is important is the version of DCS your running as suggested above.

I don't own the NS430 but it appears you have to buy the actual 3D implementation & not just the NS430 module.

Mi8 and L-39 are Ok

But for C-101 and Gazelle i cant get them to work. The Mount is shown but not the module itself.

Ok, I was able to see it in the L-39 and the Gazelle. I was having trouble with it in the C-101, so I will follow that up. Thanks.

 

Edit: The plot thickens, it does indeed working on the standalone but not on Steam.

The C-101CC, C-101EB and Gazelle 3D NS430 modules are separate purchases on ED's store (DCS Standalone), neither are sold on Steam or part of the Steam NS430 module which includes the 3D models only for the L-39C and Mi-8.

 

Checking the NS430 3D check boxes in Options>Special>NS430 does not give Steam users the missing cockpit objects (all they will see are mounting brackets).

 

When/if the Gazelle and C-101 NS430 cockpit add-on(s) are sold on Steam, they will likely be an additional purchase, as these additions are created by 3rd party developers.

It is sold differently on Steam, as one package. For instance, the Gazelle already works on Steam, I am finding out about the C-101.

How does the Gazelle 3D NS430 display in steam ?

 

I've never seen the 3D model in Steam, it's enabled by default but all I've ever seen is the empty brackets and the 2D popup.

 

This is in the L, is the Gazelle NS430 version specific ?

The Steam's verified DCS module folder looks like this

 

... with additional NS430 folders for the Mi-8 and L-39C.

 

The NS430's 3D model ns430.edm is in the DCS World/Mods/NS430/Shapes folder but it's hard to tell if it's "exactly" the same as used in the gazelle cockpit.

Correct.

 

Only after I converted a Steam install to DCS Standalone, bought and installed the Gazelle NS430 module did your mission display the Gazelle's NS430 cockpit model.

 

Note the additional "NS430_SA342" folder in the standalone install, AFAIK "entry.lua" registers the NS430 Gazelle plugin.

@NineLine i also tested your mission on latest beta 2.7.7.15038 steam

no 3d model in the gazelle

 

in Mi8 and L-39C all fine

In C-101 also no 3D model

 

2d Module i cant test due my monitor setup.

Good news, 3rd party NS430 cockpit addons have been added to the Steam store.
