If I set up say four silkworm launchers and a single silkworm radar, it only fires one launcher at a time, and will not fire the next one until either the current one in the air has either been shot down or has hit its target.

Is this realistic, can the radar only support one missile at a time, or should the group be able to use all available missiles to attack in a salvo IRL?

Is this an AI bug or an actual real limitation of the missile/radar.

It's an AI bug, Silkworm does not require support from an external radar. It has INS and a terminal radar seeker, the battery radar is used only for finding the targets in first place.

Did a test, mission and track attached.

I made a couple of groups, each containing 4 launchers and 1 radar. They were set to attack the Tarawa which sails from the South to the North.

Each group detects the Tarawa and launches 1 silkworm missile. Remarkably, one group fires two silkworm missiles. After that, all groups wait for their missile to either hit or get hit by defenses and fires again, one missile with one group firing two.

At this rate, there's no way to make the Silkworm a viable enemy for warships as a single missile is easily defeated. You really need to swarm the defenses with missiles in order to saturate ships defensive systems.
