rapid Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Had a quick play with it today. Still not sure on my button arrangements so that will be a labour of love. The Virpil software is not easy on the eye or that user friendly. Going to have to look into how to use switches T1 to T6 as toggle switches as not getting full use from them. I have no idea if it is possible to set the Landing Gear LED's to go from green to red unless someone knows how to link them? Nice solid build about half as heavy as the WartHog Throttle base. The Rubber feet work very well but will leave black rubber marks if unit is pushed. Not used to it's full potential yet untill I can work out this Software. Was able to change the LED colours on the buttons and the Landing gear not sure if it is possible to make the buttons change colour momentarily if button is depressed. Over all a nice piece of kit. Virpil software made my pc go nuts at one point I had to uninstall and remove settings from Control Panel. 2 Asus ROG Crosshair Hero VIII , Ryzen 3900X, Nzxt Kraken Z73, Vengence RBG Pro DDR4 3600mhz 32 GB, 2x Corsair MP 600 pcie4 M.2 2 TB , 2x Samsung Qvo SSD 2x TB, RTX 3090 FE, EVGA PSU 800watt, Steelseries Apex Pro. dburne Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 (edited) Nice looking setup!! Ya know a CM3 Throttle would look real good beside that Control Panel #2. Lynchsl62 Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 Nice set up, now that you have CP2 I can only recommend the Virpil Throttle in place of the Warthog, I went from the Warthog to the Virpil Throttle and it was so much better - precision with programmable functionality and I personally have never had any QC issues. An investment I know but it is worth it. The Virpil software takes a bit of learning but once you understand it, it is actually really good 1 PC: 9980XE @ 64GB RAM /2080Ti, Samsung C49RG90 Joystick bases: VKB GFIII, FSSB R3L, Brunner CLS-E, Virpil Mongoos CM2 Joystick grips: Realsimulator (F-18CGRH, F-16SGRH-CE), VKB (MCG Pro, F-14, KG-12), Virpil Warbrd Throttles: Virpil CM2, Kantorrin, Other: TrackIR, TM MFDx2 (Cubesim Screenx2), Virpil Control Panel 1

Lynchsl62 Posted March 31, 2021 Posted March 31, 2021 I have the Virpil Throttle and CP1 and can’t wait for CP2. Throttle mode 1 - Start / Stop mode 2 - Flight Controls (this will be CP2 when it arrives) mode 3 - combat/weapons mode 4 - Aux Pilot Control CP1 Autopilot, Engine Controls Cooling, lights, Trim I try to use the same function across different modules which can be quite a challenge. Currently, no easy options.

wowbagger Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Quick question about the profile. If I add a Control Panel #2 to my CM3, and run them together as a single device, do I have to redo a whole new profile from scratch or is it possible to add a device to an existing profile? imacken Posted May 7, 2021 Posted May 7, 2021 I couldn't see a way, so I had to redo from scratch. The other thing is that the allocated axis-to-button numbers get changed, so that needs sorting out as well. Currently have the CP#1 and with the 5-way on the CM2 gets me moar buttons... but I dunno this CP#2 is calling out to me.. It would be nice to have another panel, using the 5-way to change button binding mid flight sometimes is a bit tricky. Sometimes you need to keep some switches to a fixed bind on all modes..

I was tempted to just go ahead and get the CP 2 but I really am not sure I would utilized it enough to justify the expense. So far with my CM3 throttle I am not hurting for buttons. Especially with the ability to use a modifier in DCS to effectively double the buttons.
