Thanks for the replies, guys! Poll now open :)

I have started with Su-27 Flanker 1.0, I was flying it a lot, together with F/A-18 Hornet/Korea at the time... but pretty much left the F/A-18 sim for Su-27 Flanker only...

Flanker 1.5 but I didn't really fly it much. Once I jumped in to Flanker 2.0, I started flying it a bit more.

For the sake of historical accuracy!

Flanker 1.0 (Windows) was released in USA and Europe in November 2005.

There was a DOS version released in 1996, as a result of massive user demand. It was a waste of development effort, as everyone moved to Windows!

I should know, as I was the European Development Director at Mindscape and was responsible for the project. It took a lot of effort to convince the US board of Directors (Mindscape = Chessmaster, Mavis Beacon typing etc) to publish a flight simulator, and for a Russian aircraft!

Flanker 2.0, I read opinions in game computing magazines and I was under huge impression. But love to Russian birds began with MiG-29 Fulcrum from NovaLogic.

Reminder: Fighter pilots make movies. Bomber pilots make... HISTORY! :D | Also to be remembered: FRENCH TANKS HAVE ONE GEAR FORWARD AND FIVE BACKWARD :D

Flanker 2.0

To whom it may concern,

I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that.

Thank you for you patience.

Many people don't want the truth, they want constant reassurance that whatever misconception/fallacies they believe in are true..

Jane's WWII fighters was my first flight sim really. Flanker 2.0 was my second. ;)

That one was super cool - Jane's WWII fighters. I recall awesome LAN-fun with my friends and some great dogfights while on my 56k modem :)

Well I started to love flight sims with F117 stealth fighter from Microprose. I actually still have it on backup on floppy lol. Previous to that, I touch a flight sim at school on a hercule monochrome, I don’t recall the name thought, that’s too far back, but I had fun with it. Ahhh Memories, lol.

But Lockon was the one that regain my attention for this type of game. I remember seeing the screenshots, which I thought and still think they where amazing for its time, especially the water effects.

Even if my PC at the time was not able to push that type of graphics. And forget about the mirrors lol. That was a major FPS hog, still is, but at least now I have the hardware to cope with it. :D
