Right off I have warm and cold air intake axis mapped to my CH throttle quadrant. They show up in mapping and appear to work in mapping however since 2.7 they don't actually work or control the air intakes same problem with mapping the canopy button neither the Keyboard combo or the joystick button that I have mapped to Canopy ... they simply do not work even though they show up as working in the control settings. I think 2.7 broke a lot of stuff and It's obviously that 2.7 is not ready for prime time yet. Edited April 16, 2021 by Major_Mayhem

_Hoss Posted September 9, 2021 Posted September 9, 2021 Seems like a common theme with the P-51 and controls mapped to a HOTAS, I got feed up and went back to the "Other" Sim to fly the Mustang, the other thing I noticed is the throttle movement is very quick, I have my TMWH throttle set to default, i.e. I did not set it for at 55% physical throttle, gives you 75% of in game throttle, it's one for one on movement, I move it just a little and the in game throttle just jumps at what appears to be 30% more than my physical movement. The Prop pitch (RPM), and Mixture settings work as they should. But as stated I can not get the Canopy to work either. I've got the Coolant and Oil Radiators mapped to sliders on a BlackHog and they work just fine. When I move the slider the switch guard moves and the switch goes in both directions on both. I have not even tried to map the P-47 yet. The jet crowd I think are the loudest "Squeaky Wheel" so they get top priority to grease the works, to quiet it/them down. Remember this all started as LOCON, Lock On Modern Air Combat........... JETS................ we Prop heads are an afterthought... I need to get out of here before I accumulate more points towards a ban or DCS JAIL... beside, COMNAVHOUSEPAC has some chores for me to do........ Cheers Hoss Sempre Fortis

I guess I'm gunna go back to badmouthing people on facebook, I would much rather be flying my "Fixed" p-51d Mustang that I paid money for but, it's not fixed. _Hoss Posted September 20, 2021 Posted September 20, 2021 After a lot of trial and error I got the thing to work, but now for some reason the throttle and joystick jump all over the place, when I spawn on free flight it rolls violently to the right. This is all new, I ensure I have the P-51D loaded in settings profile for the HOTAS. I can switch to the P-47 and it behaves like a dream. The Mustang throttle when it does almost work correctly is not linear with the movement I have from the TMWH throttle. I have no J curve set up in DCS either. it's 1 for 1. I barely push the throttle and it goes from about 20"mp to 45"mp.. very annoying.............. go back to the P-47 and it's a dream to fly again............... I'm to the point to where I'm not even sure if I want to start messing with the Spitfire or not.. And this is all on the release version. I'm afraid I'd throw my computer out the window if I even messed with the open beta................. Sempre Fortis

Seriously ... It's been like 8 months now! Any chance Eagle Dynamics can just stop mucking up the control settings!?!?! Well I'm off to Troll and Bad Mouth ED on social media. <S>

Then disable and enable it with a few clicks in OVGME or JSGME (or whatever you use for managing mods) each time an update comes. I've been doing it for these 8 months - saves lot of time. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.

_Hoss Posted February 12, 2022 Posted February 12, 2022 (edited) The Jug is even worse, can't use analog axis trim R/P/Y control box, and weapon controls are unusable with controller assigned keystrokes(1 - 9) DX inputs work, butt not the assigned keystrokes. Mustang works great with the controller assigned keystrokes. This is the main reason why I usually give up on DCS ever working right and go back to the other sim. Feels like a huge waste of money and time, and the developers and DCS could care less it seems. What really erks me is it used to work, the Mossie was just as bad with the analog trim, and arming commands, now they work again...... but for how long?
