Since we cant take both the NVG and the JHMCS, the NFLR  actually become quiet useful, isnt it? 

 

And the F/A18 lot20 got these knobs, which means its aircraft 163985 and up,which should have the NFLR function I guess?

 

So......are we getting it in the future?

That would entirely depend on either having the AN/AAR-50 TINS (Thermal Imaging Navigation Set), or the NAVFLIR on the ATFLIR adapter hooked up (which was eventually removed from the adapter). AFAIK, neither of these things are currently planned.

Interestingly, by not giving us IR marker. ED have all but confirmed that our pod should have Navflir...

Was it removed visually? Right now our ATFLIR mount includes TINS.

Currently the model of the adapter has the NAVFLIR window, but whether or not it will be functional is on ED.
 
TINS is a different system altogether that mounts on station 6.
Thanks, I misread your post and forgot what pod TINS was...
