Hajduk Veljko, can we hire you? :D

Awesome narration, well done!

 Thanks Frazer! I tried my best.

Virtual Festival of Aerobatic Teams (VFAT) is indeed top of the cream when it comes to entertainment combat flight simulators. I was really proud to participate.

I thank you and everybody else who made VFAT possible.

Thanks to all the people involved for another great year and making VFAT 2008 spectacular! Streaming replays of the performances should be available this week on www.virtual-airshows.com I believe, and AFAIK the VBA are "re-streaming" their demo on Wednesday evening after experiencing technical difficulties Sunday.

Check out the all the replays directly online in your own time! ;)

Most replays should be available within a few days to a week or so...

Replays are located here: http://www.virtual-airshows.com/english/vfat2008/showtime-2008

Frazer: Is there anything you can't fly. Man your shows were awesome. Had a great weekend watching and looking forward to next year. What can you do for an encore presentation. Congrats to your whole team for a magnificent achievement. Cheers.

Fantastic demo Frazer!

You found some things to do with the machine I haven't seen done before!

From what I watched live and streamed I was thoroughly impressed by what you guys have done with a simulation I have been involved with for many years. I'm sure everyone who was a part of getting Lock On out to the public, including Eagle Dynamics and The Fighter Collection is proud to see what has been done with it by all the great people in the community including those excellent demo teams and the support people at VFAT.

I watched the virtual T-birds last night and was blown away by depth of detail in having a narrator and watching the incredible performance by the pilots. It was hard to believe you weren't watching the real show! I think having VFAT really offers a new perspective to airshow viewing by using the different cameras to view the formations from the air as well as the ground.

If there was one thing I would like to see improved it would be having a dedicated camera man for each team who knows the routine and can practice with the team to give the best possible view of it to those watching. Many times I was saying to myself..."please switch cameras or please zoom in or the plane is coming from the left". It seemed that was the only disjointed part of the entire VFAT experience.

Once again... AWSEOME job by you and everyone at VFAT and by the virtual pilots!

A BIG thanks to those at JaBoG32 for all their efforts and support!

Thanks again!

Thank you for your kind words Shepski! I'm glad, as are the guys and gal on our team that our spectators, such as yourself, appreciate the attention to detail we put into our show.

As far as VFAT goes, we (the VFAT staff) tried hard this year to get dedicated cameramen for each team. The next step is for each team (and it has to be the team itself) to take their time and train their cameraman to know the show, and what views to use etc.

Just as in real life, many maneuvers are based on "optics" to look correct from a certain angle... it helps when the cameraman knows these "tricks". That's the tip of the iceberg, as you can tell - it requires more than a few hours of preparations!

Once again, thanks for your comments. We're (VFAT staff) is already looking forward to making VFAT 2009 better than ever!

It's a learning process with everything from show standards, design, technical issues, logistics and planning involved and quite amazing that we're able to do this as a world wide LIVE event!

Never, since joining the lockon community was I prouder of it then this past weekend. Our own VX-4 Evaluators made their first of what we hope to be many appearances at VFAT. But it was more than that. The atmosphere in the chat and the awesome shows. The Blue Angels brought that nostalgia back that I had when I was a kid and mesmerized by the A-4 in all its glory. The amazing stunts of the other teams, stunts I never would have dreamed of, nor been able to perform.

I know that next year, DCS not withstanding, will prove to be even better as this show has grown by leaps and bounds. And, no matter what the FSXers say, this kind of show can only be done by this community in this game at this time.

Congratulations to all in VFAT and a heart-felt thanks from the VNAO to the entire VFAT staff, all the teams, and interoute for the streaming service.

Here's to next year!!!!

Thank you Shepski, but most of the work, regarding the organization of the event, was done by Frazer and Manu! The vJaBoG32 is just helping out here and there. VFAT is meanwhile how it should be: From aerobatics for aerobatics (and fans)! Proud to be part of it!
