Is there any way to change color of symbology of TGP?

At night it's totally unreadible over sea in IR mode, and when I switch to TV mode I can't see a target.

Also - this is lowest possible brightness of the monitor, still way to bright (yes in night mode).

Why not change the polarity?

How can I do that?

The brightness and contrast dials on the bottom right / left work.  They can help out a bunch.

Brightness was on the minimum.

When you're in IR, you can switch between white hot (default) and black hot with OSB 20 (ATFLIR) and IIRC OSB 1 (LITENING). Look for the WHT legend, which denotes white hot. It'll change to BLK for black hot.

Keep in mind that you might need to play with gain and level to get a better picture, you can do that by unboxing ALG and selecting the LG option with OSB 1, in the ATFLIR.

 Well, no.
You're talking about changing FLIR camera view "colors' White hot and Black hot. This will affect visibility of the target. I want change only symbology colors.

That, you can't do. Unless you use a mod, of course (DDI symbology is controlled by the materials.lua file). And even like that, part of the symbology (compass, coordinates, reticle) is generated by the ATFLIR itself.

Switching from WTH to BLK does affect visibility, but you can always just level, gain and contrast to adjust the picture.

Ok, so the answer to my question is "no". Ok.

I don't use mods, and IR imaging in DCS in general really sucks and needs overhaul.

As mentioned before disable the ALG(automatic level and gain), it helps a lot. You can also put the FLIR on the AMPCD and it with be grey scale. This is technically a bug as it's unrealistic, but it works in DCS ATM.

@Foka Did you try changing the contrast and get better results?

I just flew a campaign mission and had the same issue. Both FLIR on TV or IR, white hot or black, the enemy ship was invisible.

When wing man hit it and it started burning, I could see smoke but not the ship on TGP or MAV.

I remembered this forum thread but forgot to try changing contrast manually.

Same situation though, Night + FLIR (and Mav) + Sea.
