Terrible floodings in Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands

Just wanted to express my sincere condolences to those directly and indirectly hit by the terrible floodings in Germany and Belgium.

I live nearby Maastricht in The Netherlands and we were only preventively evacuated, but I can't even imagine what those poor people must be going through.

Wish you all the luck in these difficult times.

Horrific flooding in Europe, hellish fires in the US, Canadian "hot spots" far and above what they should get - what the heck is going on with this world . . . . .

Less than 5km from my home it looked like this...

I'm glad to live ~100m above that valley, just had some groundwater gotten into the basement, could be worse.

Getting flashbacks to my time living in El Paso as a kid. But way worse.

I do hope anyone in the effected areas is doing alright. Be sure to wash thoroughly if you're forced to wade through that BS since floods are great breeders of nasty little beasties that'll make you ill.

Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!

True word.

A lot of people just see a flood - they aren’t seeing the effluent being forced out of sewerage covers and processing plants. Nasty.

And anyone wading through it and don’t realise they may have a small, insignificant scratch on a leg? Interesting times ahead.

China, too. They say some regions got a years worth of rain in three days, a lot of which fell in about an hour.

Absolutely nothing, because I've invested my whole identity into denying there might be a problem and admitting there is a problem now would mean I was wrong.
