investigating Console and instruments lights too bright

Is it me, or after last update at night console and flight instruments lights even on lowest settings are much brighter than they were, and are too bright, like IFEI?

This is night, new moon. For my lights are way to bright, and I think it was dimmer

I have no evidence, but have always thought it strange that the lights can't dim down to nothingness. It goes from 0 to 5 and then smoothly up to 10, if that makes sense.

As far as I am aware no changes have been made to the console lighting, I have asked the team.
