ESzczesniak Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I've been flying the Hornet a lot for the last 18-24 months. I've been starting to have an interest in coming back to the A-10C, but am having problems with the module now. At the mission start, the aircraft starts to roll and yaw to the left. At first, this was irrecoverable. I uninstalled and then reinstalled the modules and following this I can recover the spin, but I'm unable to maintain straight and level flight without constant control input. Trim alone is not enough. I have MFG Crosswing pedals and a TM Warthog HOTAS. The RAlt+Enter controls input shows input at neutral. The controllers all appear to be functioning fine in the windows game control menu. I do not have this issue in the Hornet. This issue occurs with the A-10C and A-10C 2. Any thoughts for further troubleshooting?
Sacarino111 Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 HI. A few things first: a) Check no multiple inputs are bound to the controls surface. You can always clear all inputs, check how it goes, and then start adding one after each other but always do a change at a time; do the change, test it, correct or go ahead depending on results. Also check that right and left engines are mapped correctly, as one idle engine and one full throttle couls make you spin! b) try ticking/unticking "synchronise controls at mission start up". I had allways to wiggle the controls all the way in every direction before flight/mission start so the cotrols would "go ok" untill I ticked this option (in "setup/miscelaneouse" tab). If not, also check there are no inverted controls... Saludos. Saca111 1
Yurgon Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Another thing worth trying might be to check Options -> Misc. -> "Force Feedback" and make sure it's off. Could you do a quick flight, save the track and upload it here? Maybe we can spot something there and give you more pointers then.

As I have no FFB devices, I never think in that possibility. Saludos. Saca111
MacEwan Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 I had this problem with the A10 also and it was because i had the "synchronise controls at mission start up" enabled. Using TM Warthog Hotas and Saitek pedals
ESzczesniak Posted August 28, 2021 Author Posted August 28, 2021 Thank you for the replies. I will try the FFB and synchronize controls suggestions. If not successful, I'll report back with a track. 8 hours ago, Sacarino111 said: ... a) Check no multiple inputs are bound to the controls surface... I hadn't forgotten to mention that. I had already checked and removed the duplicates that existed.
ESzczesniak Posted August 29, 2021 Author Posted August 29, 2021 This seems to be related to the sync HOTAS option. Removing this effectively fixed this issue. In a quick free flight the aircraft starts slowly banking to the right, but is easily corrected with trim. Turning this option back on reinstates this issue. Overall, I prefer the C&D to C&D missions, so this won't be much of an issue. But Any work around other than disabling the sync HOTAS commands?

As I said, try moving all controls in all possible directions and axtension before hiting the "fly" button. To me it did the trick before I found this "synchronise" stuff. I have X52PRO and Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals, so no incompatibility issue whatsoever... Saludos. Saca111
