Hi @BIGNEWY

I have got several missions where I use trigger UNIT IN MOVING ZONE for Super Carrier traps / AAR, Intercepts, etc. 

 

Yesterday I noticed that the trigger no longer works, I tried to debug my mission but I discovered that the zone does not move with assigned unit anymore. 

 

That is true for both quad and circular zone.

 

Please see the example I made.

Did some tests and quad zones seem to be broken while circular zones are fine. 

 

There is a possibility that your expected outcome isn't matching the functionality. The zones are always centered on the object you are linking them to. It isn't offset relative to where you put the zone at. So your quad zone would be more like the screenshot. Also orientation likely isn't factored in either. For circular zones it obviously doesn't matter, but for a shape it would.

I will try with a zone object in the center but it had worked for me definitely two updates back. Both zone types. I used this "Deck" with offset, I used circular one with offset as well for AAR where circular zone was located behind left wing of Hercules.

However, if it works as you described, I am good to go.

I have had a nightmare time with that over the last two days. I eventually figured that moving quad zones were not working (before I saw this thread) so instead created 3 round zones with each one moving with the ship (I didnt want a large zone which would detect a hover alongside the ship)....and that does not work, having more than one moving zone breaks it completely. What was odd though was that it didn't work even after I removed 2 zones leaving it as one; I did all sorts but eventually I resorted to deleting the trigger entirely and the zones and re-creating them both.

Hi @Grimes, unfortunately circular is now also not working. Do you know if it was reported at all?

A quick test shows that it is working normally (2 moving zones - 1 bigger 1 smaller - linked to a moving unit, switched condition trigger with another unit going inside and outside continuously works normally).

Do you have example showing issue ?

No, you are right @toutenglisse. When you asked about the example I modified a mission I was having issue with and saved in latest beta, circular zone for unit inside moving zone works for me now. 

It is the quad point zone that still is not working and smoke attached to zone cannot follow it - you cannot attach smoke to moving zone, however I guess since the offset does not work anymore either, attaching smoke to unit suffice.

Well. I wish the quad zone would work for unit inside moving zone.
