It's a pity that this thread didnt note the obvious in the picture - all AI mosquito's have both red Port and Starboard lights (latter should obviously be green).

See picture from earlier this evening i took whilst descending through the clouds.

Yes they are externals. Early form of IFF.

I'm missing something. The manual only has UV Resin Lights which, when I turn the switch on, turns on the two UV floodlights in the cockpit. I can't find any mention of other resin lights in the manual. "Resin" only appears three times, in all cases referring to the cockpit lamps.

Hmm the resin switch turns on the two lamps on the trailing edge of the wingtips. Their color is whatever your mechanics set on the ground (mission editor) Check the video for demonstration.

the uv floodlights are operated by using the uv lights switch. 2 separate switches.

Ah I see, the ident lights. The labeling is confusing and the manual doesn't explain any of it.

+1

My thoughts entirely, lights are on my next 'to do' list....apart from a few internal instrument lights I have'nt given the lighting much of a study,I have been too busy just learning to fly the Mossie in daylight conditions.

Now all sorted I want to start flying night ops so will have to give the lights a little more attention me thinks, lol.

@Reflected..Thanks Guy,great tutorial.....this is going to be so handy, very much appreciated old chap 👍

The ident lights are also different, if you mean the recognition lights. Those were used to identify yourself in the dark. The resin is more against friendly night fighters if they get on your 6.
