Hi all!

It would be cool if there was the chance to install empty external fuel tanks in the mission editor and in the rearm&refuel option.

Currently, only internal tanks capacity can be set in the mission editor fuel slider and external tanks are installed full. So, in case a 50% fuel capacity is set in the mission editor and the aircraft is provided with external (full) tanks, the moment you jump into the cockpit, fuel from the (full) external tanks is transferred to the internal tanks (check the fuel page in the DDI).

The automatic transfer I'm referring to above is "working as intended" but being able to install external empty tanks would still be cool.

Doesn't the Harrier have this empty fuel tank option? 🤔

Useful for me when at CQ for example.

That is one of the things I was implicitly referring to... 😉

Absolut useful!

We know better.”

Though personally the best solution is to be able to alter the fuel of each tank individually (including externals), if desired.

Ideally, you'd retain the total as we have now, but maybe have an icon which when pressed, expands a menu which displays the fuel in each individual tank, and allows for adjustment.

The Tomcat can select empty or full tanks in the loadout menu, one can even take one empty and one full one.

I’d like the option for empties also. For one, doing CQ as mentioned above. A second reason is for practicing aerial refueling. Having empties there gives more time for practice as you need to stay on the hose longer and compensate a little more as the weight increases.

Meh, I still think the ideal situation is being able to edit the fuel as desired, without needing duplicate entries.

Whatever solution as long as fuel in external tanks can be set manually... 😉

I agree, would be nice to have a separate slider for externals. Having the option of empty external tanks would be nice in the meantime.
