Reccelow Posted October 9 Posted October 9 Hey Rudel, That fix makes things much better. The rolling moment is still there but much dampened, at least I can glance at the F10 map for a few seconds! 2

No comm in the air. Comms only work on ground. Anyone else seeing these? Just curious on how you got the livery made for the VSN F-104G to work with the F-104C? Cheers, John
Reccelow Posted October 21 Posted October 21 John, I'm back overseas, my DCS rig is in the states, but if I recall I looked at how the Italian skinpack ( https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3346706/ ) was converted and just used the same naming and edited the description file. Try it like this (going by memory so not sure if it will work..) make a copy of any one of of the Italian livery folders (I'll use AMI 3-35) rename it CF104G or something, copy and overwrite the CF dds files from the CF104G livery of your choice that have the same names. Then change the lines at the bottom of the description.lua from: custom_args = { [70] = 1, -- G=0 / S=1 [803] = 0.0, -- AAR Probe } name = "AMI 3-35" To something like this: custom_args = { [70] =0, -- G=0 / S=1 [803] = 0.0, -- AAR Probe } name = "CF-104G Camo"

Could you do a training mission for weapons: Guns, A2A, A2G. I ask because I'm not able to get any of the weapons to fire or get the firing reticle to show up on the HUD. I'm pretty sure I'm clicking on all the right switches, but for now I can only startup, fly and land this bird. Thank you. 2 A10C-II, AJS-37, F-4E, F-5E, F-14, F-15E, F-16C, F/A-18C, F-86, JF-17, L-39, KA50, MiG-19, P-51, Spitfire, Flaming Cliffs, All maps, WWII Assets, Combined Arms, Super Carrier.

My next mission for the F-104C will be about radar employment, but it is still a couple of weeks away (assuming the C-130J does not release sooner, as I'm truly looking forward to it) After the radar I intend to do one on A2A Radar missiles, followed by another on A2A Sidewinders and A-A Gun. Air-Ground is less important to me, as it wasn't the primary mission of the 104C. 2 2 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600 - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia RTX2080 - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB

VinntoreZ Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago (edited) I'm not sure if it has already been done here, so sorry if someone already did this. I managed to get the AIM-7 working on standalone version of the mod, with properly positioning on pylons. Yes I know the C variant didnt carry Sparrows, but I just hate F-15 avionics in F-104, it is much more immersive with proper radar. The missile tracks with no problem, fires just like the others when its pylons are selected. Here I'm attaching the AC Entry lua file, all you need to do is replace it in main mod directory. VSN_F104C.lua This doesnt affect anything besides allowing you to mount AIM-7 and use it. JorgeB2 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Thanks, VinntoreZ. Now we just need more liveries for the 104C mod. 1

Of course, the range is pretty <profanity>ty, as it should be for a small 1958 radar. I hope to find the time to restructure the cockpit for a standalone S and S-ASA Version. That would have a decent INS (WP-Navigation), better Radio, better radar, with doubled range, 2 additional wing-pylons etc. Of course, since a lot has to be done, it will take some time. F-104Cm (transitional version from C to G) is in testing right now. Once that is done, I'll start tweaking the pit for S/S-ASA... Edited 8 hours ago by PeeJott17 5
