The trimming of BS, although this included in my profile. I moved to the buttons.

H3 Up and Hold: Trimmer

H3 Up and Hold with S3 in: Trimmer reset

 

Trimmer of Cougar its similar.

H3 Down with S3 in: Trim Cougar

H3 Down and Hold with S3 in: Reset Trimmer Cougar.

 

And the Lock/Unlock function is very useful. I use more times Lock/Unlock that the trim. When, with trimmer you set new zero position but can move joystick. With unlock you freezee actual position of Joystick but cant move joystick.

This not problem of profile. Posible reasons:

 

1. You have diferents keys assigned in BS, set default keys.

2. NewInput.dll know bug, you need download new input file. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=545848&postcount=12

3. Error in you cougar drivers. ¿What version use?

1. no i use the default keys

2. i am on it and will try it out but dont think it will work since in the keytester of foxy it shows me that for example (LSHF a) = KD SHF KU SHF KD a KU a

Yes, i understand you first time :thumbup:, only clarified that point, in order not to miss the diagnosis. Friends?:beer:

- First, Foxy version is not important, Foxy is only Editor of Cougar, you know Cougar Drivers. Last version are 3.HCO.2004 for drivers and 3.00.6 for Firmware for XP.

 

- I test AutopilotAltitudehold function (LShift+a) and me run well.

¿Posible reasons for you no run correct? I dont know, mmm, look DX not select in Cougar Panel (Apply enable/disable Windows axes states). I dont know is this is reason, but i not have selected this option in my Cougar Panel, try.

Temporaly solution is set in macro (.tmm) you desire sequence, buts is this not full solution.

Legolasindar, in your readme file it states the following:

Go to Options-Controls of BS, assign Zoom to rotary ANT, and the Throttle (not collective) to rotative RNG.

Now when I go onto the controls options section of BS, I see the Thrustmaster column, I see variations of zooms and Throttles to choose from. What I cant figure out is how to assign the “ANT” & “RNG” rotarys to any of these, when I click on a slot in the Thrustmaster column, and pull up the “Add Assignment Panel” I get alot of buttons I can assign, but no rotarys. How do I assign thrustmaster rotarys to a command such as zoom and throttle? And what zoom and throttle selections should I be assigning to? And thanks ALOT for creating this Cougar profile. ;)

In the top of screen, select Axis Commands, you see all axis of you devices. Select Zoom View and Throttle. You need select for example Throttle in the column of you Cougar, and click in button of bottom named Axis Tune, and select correct rotary of you Cougar, you need try, select one, OK, go FF Tune in bottom, and test response.

In my cougar is JOY_SLIDER1 for Throttle and JOY_RX for Zoom View.

I have it set now, the only thing I see now is that when I go into the "Axis Tune" for testing, the box and dot do NOT meet on the liniar line when these 2 rotarys are on there physical center detent? My Cougar was manually calibrated and saved. Shouls I be concerned? Thanks

This is normal, no all axis have real center. Launch mission for test, but is normal.

Could you tell me how to change your TS button 4 so it works the wheel break.

Ive tryed setting it in BS and tryed to edit your profile but i just get errors.

Once this is set to break its perfect for me.

You need change this code.

And now S4 without S3 button work for wheel brake. Only rest save and reupload profile to cougar.

 

/I is button with S3 pressed and Hold

/O is without S3

/H is for hold key. If you set function without /H, when you press and hold button, Cougar only press key associated one time.

If you put /H, when press and hold button, Cougar press and hold key associated.

Legolasindar, I am still using this profile, there is one thing driving me nuts though, it’s the Microstick movement. Now I realize that this may be just my brain, but what can I say, it is how I am thinking by default. The problem I am having is that when I want the curser to move UP Vertically, my mind says to push the microstick towards the area of the throttle labeled “RDR CURSOR/ENABLE”. The response is the cursor moves horizontally to the left. Now I could see where others may think this is natural and ok,, my mind is not ok with that. All I want to do is change the Axes on the microstick so that when I push up towards RDR CURSOR/ENABLE”, the cursor moves vertically up, when I push towards “ANT ELEV” the cursor moves horizontally to the right. I have read thru the Cougar help files, and tried changing the axes in the Cougar control panel and in Foxy using the composer. Apparently I cant figure out what I am doing. The Cougar forums are down today, so I cant search for help in there either. Please help, thanks

I deal with your problem since the Cougar saw the light of day. Maybe we have the same brain problem (it is certainly not Legolasindar's fault...LOL).

I too can't work with the mouse for the same reason you mention, honestly, i don't bother...:joystick:

Actually, I goofed around with this a bit in the Foxy editor, I wound up changing it to the way I want it to work. Here is what I have in there now,, you can compare it to his or just simply copy and paste it.

Sorry, my programming skills are limited. At the moment I have not found a solution, I have tried several things, but none has given good results.

 

This problem is partly because of my profile, in part because as the Hotas Cougar is built.

 

The real Cougar, is a journey almost completely linear in the Throttle, but in the Hotas Cougar, this revolved (pivot) around an axis very close, which makes the position of the space microstick changed. And this leads to what our minds think that is the vertical microstick, change depending on whether we have the Throttle to 0% or 100%
