TCW_Rickske Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 Time fuzed bombs They were a thing, and probably needed cos' I cant drop my bombs on target AND survive if I'm dropping them Low. IS this in the works and when do we get it? Thanx!
SMH Posted October 12, 2021 Posted October 12, 2021 We need skip bombing too. Bombs shouldn't always stick to the first piece of ground they touch, depending on the angle they hit and ground surface type. They should bounce and slide a bit, losing energy as they go. Structures as well, the goal being to get the bomb to stop inside the structure then explode after your plane is well past it. (Though sometimes they should go right through if they have sufficient horizontal velocity and the building is small or insubstantial enough.) 1
HotTom Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 (edited) (Sigh) (Post fix today with a 2-second delay) My Mosquito still gets blown up on low passes but not quite as much. Talk about a band-aid approach! With real Mosquito the typical delay fuse was 11 seconds going as high as 25 and 30 seconds (which turned out to be a menace to following Mosquitos). This was a low level attack aircraft. It bombed from treetop and rooftop levels. DCS used to pride itself in accurate simulation. Guess that doesn't still apply. Two seconds? Really??? razo+r Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 Work in Progress as usual mate. Plus early access. They got all the "excuses" they need to not be 100% accurate yet.
HotTom Posted October 20, 2021 Posted October 20, 2021 The beatings will cease when morale improves, eh? Exceptional engineering...and a large hammer to make it fit!
