A new, non-paved airfield on Pagan island - are spawn points active?

Three spawn points are at new airfield on Pagan island in mission editor. They seem to be inactive or whole airfield.

It is not possible to use them. If i put plane or helicopter and set it to Takeoff from ramp / Takeoff from parking hot, the plane is moved to nearest active airport spawn point at Saipan Int.

Takeoff from RWY is not possible too.

Takeoffs from ground/ground hot are the only options for spawn plane at Pagan airfield.

That is correct. This is as a result of the airfield being categorized as closed/inactive. You will notice that the same behavior applies to Northwest Field and Orote Field on Guam. I suppose this categorization is warranted, given that Pagan Airstrip (the field we're talking about here) is listed as "closed indefinitely" in the A/FD.

I guess you could ask for this behavior to be changed in terms of the DCS Core, but it isn't really a Marianas issue as it stands.

Everybody said: "That's impossible!" Then someone came along who didn't know that and just did it.

That airstrip is also only 1,500 feet long. For DCS purposes, you'd only want to use a chopper on that island.

Yak-52 could most likely operate on 1,500ft. I did get a Spitfire with 100% fuel and a 500kg bomb off too, but landing was another matter. I could probably stop her with a nicely timed 3-pointer if I can come in shallow enough. Need to chop down that tree on the coast side.

It would be good for practicing harrier farping.
I’ve set up a little helicopter base but it’s just a long flight to the main islands, really good for sea rescue missions.
