Well, this is a bit embarrassing, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to take a screenshot. The key-assignments say the "sys req" key (same as "print screen" key) will take a screenshot, but when I try, there's nothing in the "screenshots" folder in the Black Shark file.

Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem....for some strange reason if I look in that folder with Photoshop Elements the pics are in there, but if I look for them with any other photo software they don't show up.......wierd.

Thats probably because PS can open lots of different file types where as your other editor may not be able too.

Windows should be able to see them no matter what though.

The easiest way to do it (for me at least), is download FSscreen. Install it.

Whenever you hit "Print Screen", your files are saved as BMPs to the location of the FSscreen exe. Easy. :)

I personally prefer to save the files to BMP so I can have them at 100% quality before I open them in Photoshop and resize them.

In LO you can set what format should be saved when pressing the PRINT SCREEN button. I dont know if BS is the same. If it is, it might be set to PNG or BMP etc and not most standard JPG.

Look through the folder with the explorer.

Black Shark saves them as .jpg's, yet they do not show up under Windows or with ACDSee.....only in Photoshop. It's wierd and I have not figured it out yet. They are there, but they are hidden from most programs it seems. If I were going to take a bunch of screenies, I would just use screenshooter or a similar utility.

It could be that they are named .jpg or .jpeg and your system only recognises one of them. It's a codec issue on your machine if it's the case.

What is the extension name of the file?

For Vista users..

If you install into Program Files the screenshots will not appear due to folder permissions[?]. Needs to be installed elsewhere or use something like FRAPS.

With LO theres no need for neither external FPS meter nor sceen capture utility. It has both functions built in. You do screenshots by simply pressing the "sysrq/print screen" (aka printscreen :)) key. For FPS meter press Pause - RCtrl combination. Compression/extension settings for screenshots are in appropriate cfg file. I have no idea about Vista's file permissions though.
