Youda Posted November 15, 2021 Posted November 15, 2021 Need to intercept a fast high flying bomber? This one trick will help you. 4 1
Quati Posted November 16, 2021 Posted November 16, 2021 Been there too. I was at the Cold War Server and got 2x MIG-19 flying in formation and making fun of me. They not even had the decency of put an end at my pain.
MiG21bisFishbedL Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 The Pocket Starfighter is the next stage in the 104's development. 1 Reformers hate him! This one weird trick found by a bush pilot will make gunfighter obsessed old farts angry at your multi-role carrier deck line up!
ThorBrasil Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 I would pre-order the F-104 if the ED releases it in the future. I love the F-104 and would love to see it at DCS World. |Motherboard|: Asus TUF Gaming X570-PLUS, |WaterCooler|: Corsair H115i Pro, |CPU|: AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, |RAM|: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB 3200MHz DDR4, |SSD|: Kingston A2000 500GB M.2 NVMe, |SSD|: Kingston 2.5´ 480GB UV400 SATA III, |SSHD|: Seagate Híbrido 2TB 7200RPM SATA III, |GPU|: MSI Gaming 980Ti, |Monitor|: LG UltraWide 34UM68, |Joystick 1|: Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog, |Joystick 2|: T.Flight Rudder Pedals, |Head Motion|: TrackIr 5.
LowRider88 Posted December 13, 2021 Posted December 13, 2021 Yeah, this sure seems like a bug. But not sure if it is that the wings ripped off or whether: - the pilot should have died and the fuselage should have flown out of control once the wings ripped off - the plane should have resisted the attempt to maneuver at such a high speed due to inertia and less effectiveness of the flight controls at that speed. It was funny that you were able to roll with no ailerons. On 12/12/2021 at 11:44 AM, ThorBrasil said: I would pre-order the F-104 if the ED releases it in the future. It was funny that you were able to roll with no ailerons. I really had no aileron control. I rolled by using some disbalance created by asymetrically broken wings. By pulling up it would roll right and by pushing down it would roll left. But it definitely shouldn't fly without the wings. There cannot be enough lift to keep the plane in the air like that. 1

Maybe the rolling with the elevator was due to the difference of how much wing was left on each side You are right, it should not be flyable like that.
idenwen Posted December 17, 2021 Posted December 17, 2021 I was on the track of getting back into the F5 for the cold war server stuff but... you know... no wings and zero warnings... makes me question that plane again.
TOViper Posted December 19, 2021 Posted December 19, 2021 I always had the impression that the wings of the F-5 are far too big. So ... this is how they should be ... ?
