a quick refence ho to use auto throttle

Hi to all, as title topic I want ask you a quicly refence hot to use auto throttle

1 set tacan

2 set iff

3 extend hook and gear

4 full flaps down

at 10 mn fron carrier  iddle the throttle and engage autopilot A

but nothing happened...

So you want to engage autothrottle? If yes, press T.

 

Autopilot won't engage Autothrottle for you.

Specifically, what you want to hit is the Auto Throttle HOTAS button on the throttle, whatever you have that mapped to. It's not something you can click on in the cockpit. 

"ATC" will appear in the HUD when it's active.

It sounds like you expect ACLS to work, but it doesn't. Our Hornet dosn't have autopilot for landing yet.

thank Bunny Clark, but procedure its correct? For idle there are 3 settings what is the right ? Idle- idle off- and idle on/off

I though that flaps should be auto, the middle positition of the switch... For the landing autothrottle and on speed flying to work.

That is incorrect, landing with ATC engages requires full flaps as well.

Middle position is not Auto, but Half.

The HUD shows drift due to winds. In order to cage or uncage your VVI: press cage / uncage
