First of all I love the F-16

Probably Operator Error but I launch JDAMS at the Top of the LAR

Do I have to wait a little longer til the caret is at the middle of the LAR for a shack

As soon as your caret hits the in range bracket you are in range, range depends on your speed and altitude.

I don't think the range effects the accuracy, you are either in range or you are not.  That said, I only release at maximum if it is necessary to maintain separation from a threat, otherwise I will give it a little extra margin by waiting until further into the LAR, just in case.

Does anyone know - are the release parameters dictated by forecast winds or measured winds?  Or an arbitrary worst-case (i.e 40kt headwind).

That's exactly what I do too.

If feasible, get into lasing range and lase for more precise coordinates...should be well within release parameters as well

Trying to plink a Scud launcher

I’ll put more of them to hit something 32ft used to be the number in my head for error of GPS weapons pretty good

Standard Marks are bigger errors
