Ah, I just looked back through the thread. Scoobs reckons something like 38,000 of the buggers. Bonkers. 

Not sure what to make of that data either? I can imagine a fitters reaction if he was asked to ‘delete’ the upper turret though. Delete? Wonder what tools he’d need for that?

36,000+ on just the fuselage alone so far in my photoshop file

nulla first proof of concept for wing damage visuals, just figured out how to do this

- Changed to programmatic sideslip drag, removing reliance on OpenVSP beta angle parameters.

- Wing divided into 4 sections, flaps given new aerodynamics.

- Roll Stabilised.

- Oxygen system now working.

- Refactoring of dihedral effect in aerodynamics.

- Elevator and center of pressure implemented.

- Fixed issue with autopilot initiation and bombs not dropping.

- Differential braking and brake gauges added. Braking pneumatic logic rewritten

- Keybindings overhauled.

- Stall behaviour and speeds improved, tailplane is also now computed from airfoil.

- Fixed some broken bombs.

- Reduced elevator authority and replaced briefing image.

- Exhaust and engine textures added.

- Autostart fixed.

- Tail wheel and ground handling improved.

- Minor fixes to collision model.

- Oxygen system hitboxes added.

- Vera livery and external model update.

- flight model refactored, prop strikes now kill engines.

- Radiator flap animations and pneumatics.

- ID lights, Nav lights, Landing lights, model fixes done.

- Landing lights now work.

- Rudders converted to airfoil based aerodynamics.

- Climb performance calibrated for new aerodynamics. - Landing light effect and nav light illumination added.

- Wing UV adjustments and visual damage textures on right wing added.

Cheers for the update here, I don’t do discord so well done.

I’ll have to check on another device as I can only see the wing damage pic on what I’m using now. Pretty sure it’s a forum thing that’s messing with pics, not much any of us can do unless we start linking to image hosts or whatnot.

Looks as though you’ve been busy too. Good stuff . I thought of this the other night watching a great little thing on the telly with Guy Martin joining a team recovering a Lanc. Amazing what can be done and the fact that it is done at all is a credit to everyone involved. I’m sure most here wouldn’t have missed it

Had to spank my hand on Sunday at the end of an airshow weekend. Just stopped myself shelling out for more Lancaster bits . I told Mrs Slippa I could do with another cap for trackIR, I want a summer one with perforations to breathe air on the bonce and the one with the Lancaster on was giving me the eye and showing a bit of cleavage. I just managed to keep walking by and resisted (for now anyway).

Just as well I did. Further along I turned my back for a minute and ‘someone’ had just spent £15 on a tub of hand made Turkish delights! - I think she’d been hypnotised or something and I got us out of there sharpish.

Keep up the good work team. Video updates with flashing lights, landing challenges et al always welcome. No pressure, no pressure .

Lower ID lights? Can't see them myself. Somethings up with the forum. I see this happen in multiple threads. Seems Mugga fixed it in the Sabre restoration thread.

Cheers Ali, It’s all over the forum, you’re right Max. Missing random pics in a lot of threads.

Looks like we’re relegated to the YouTube videos then. We’ll just have to put up with 20 minute clips of a walkaround, cockpit tour, tyre-kicking competitions, bulb demos, take off and landing demonstrations (BrianTheBrains up first) and a duck shoot from the rear-gunners position.

Ok, I’ll chill out now, where’s me tablets..

I just got home. Need to chill a bit, but I can probably take some comparison screenshots later, while I wait for the patch to drop.

Edit: I just noticed I was in the wrong forum... Thinking about something else... Patch day does that to me..

Really do mean to get you guys more videos, internal clips and stuff like that, but my time and availability for this project gets sucked into other things like trying to get AI voice transcription to work or importing new tools and stuff. Can assure you that the gunner stuff is amazingly fun, but probably the most not ready at this point. all in good time

Oh as far as I’m concerned I’m only ribbing the team a bit. 

Like a kid on a long journey with “are we there yet” every five minutes. Take all the time you need really, but hurry up about it. 

It took me long enough to do my own bit of key-bindings overhauling after the update. God knows how many hours you’ve all put into building this, it must add up. You lot probably don’t always want to be clicking your mice and tapping code when it could be flying time either. Never mind life rudely interrupting now and then.

Reading that bit about the gunner I went straight to the first page wondering if you meant the rear gunner. Once that percentage starts to move I reckon we’ll be well on our way. (No pressure).

I’m fine waiting for a bit, most of the pressure for videos, pics or a finish is (without mentioning any names) all coming from :

Seriously though, what the *@#$ is that? Some early experiment in conformal fuel tanks? A fairing for a concealed rearward-firing 16-inch gun? A predecessor to the dropping-lifeboats-from-B-29s concept, that was rejected because having to roll inverted to release the boat seemed an unnecessary complication? We need to be told...

My guess would be they’re the LLE conversion prototype? Never seen em like that before. Lancaster Loft Extension models, with bunk beds and a TV. The aerial sitting just behind the cockpit. Black & White in those day too with no remote.
