Caldera Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 Hey All, Take a look at the picture. The refueling door is closed and the autopilot is on. But, the door indication still says READY on the column. This picture was taken after refueling where the refueling door was opened / closed using voice attack (via keyboard commands). I can clear the READY light by cycling the refueling door using the mouse. Must be a glitch? Caldera
Yurgon Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 That's an omission in the manual. After refueling, there's some kind of internal cycle happening, and the "READY" light lets you know about it. It'll come back on shortly after closing the refueling door, and should go out again within circa 3 minutes. 2
jaylw314 Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 (edited) It's a pressure check for the refueling receptacle. After refueling and closing the door, the receptacle is pressurized with bleed air to check for leaks and to push the remaining fuel in the receptacle and lines into the left (I think) internal tank. The light comes on when the system is pressurized for about a minute, then turns off as the system slowly pressures down. If the READY light does not come on, or only stays on for a few seconds, you have a fuel leak or damaged refueling door. I believe this only occurs if you've actually taken fuel, I think it does not occur when you simply cycle the door The same pressure check occurs when you press the LINE CHECK button before refueling. If the READY light fails to come on or stay on for more than a few seconds, you have a fuel leak and is a no-go for AAR Edited December 29, 2021 by jaylw314 5 2
Caldera Posted January 1, 2022 Author Posted January 1, 2022 Thanks Guys, I have surely not noticed this before I started using Voice Attack. I do not know why. Caldera
Chain_1 Posted January 1, 2022 Posted January 1, 2022 You notice it now because your SA bubble has increased with your practice. Keep going and you'll pick up a lot more! 3
