Best News Ever.....

Could not agree more!!! What a great catch my friend!

@Wags @NineLine Wags/Ninline, how do you guys decide what to pick for incorporating a free aircraft to entice future players?  We have The T-51 and Frogfoot.  The A-4C would be a slam dunk to get people interested in Naval Aviation.  It would also give the team access to the SDK I am assuming?

Need the licensing from Boeing at least.

trying hard to get A2A refueling.  each time I get up to the basket this happens.  this example I am coming in a little hot, but it also happens at slower speeds.  I think I have the right switches on...maybe not?  this has happened about 15-20 times.  the definition of insanity comes to mind.  what am I doing wrong?

I'd ignore the 'breakaway' message: you'll find you should connect anyway. It is clearly triggered inappropriately, most likely because it is expecting a Hornet-sized aircraft, which would likely have its positional coordinate further back when contacting the basket. The same thing happens with the Harrier, which is not only smaller than a Hornet, but has the probe on the other side.

Nice one, thanks for sharing here, and yeah great news!

That new accurate cockpit for VR goodness is given me some naughty thoughts...

...have we all come across https://authentikit.org/ before? How freaking good would it be to have a set of A4 controls ready for when the v.2 Scooter drops in however many years?!

Oh god, not another ED squitfight of rights, development and pay!

But I get you - I wish with all my heart ED would step up their mod support. It's so obviously the lifeline of simulations, always has been, it's nuts that modders have to fight so many systems. Even more nuts at how successful they are. The A4, the OH-6...the bloody Lancaster! But it's all despite ED, rather than with thanks to ED (equally obvious caveat that we're only here in the first place with thanks to ED, I get it, but you know what I mean). The only way we'll get an RAF Cold Warrior (and there were some cool ones) into the sim is through community modules, for example, despite them being a pretty key component of Cold War Germany, like wot we've got a map for...

Look at DCS YouTube coverage: I reckon about 40% is tutorials/showcase (cos the ones which ship with Early Access planes are normally sub-optimal), and 20% each to campaigns, multiplayer and community modules. That's huge, and deserves to be celebrated. Anyway!

Yay A4, great stuff, much excitement.

Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

No Max.  I just dial in the UHF preset freq.s from the Briefing before I take off.  Manually.  But I do have PTT set to "P" on my keyboard.  That gets me to the F6 tanker comms menu.

New noob A4 question.  Are Carrier Starts Bugged?  I've been wanting to do the Super Carrier cold start and taxi start because I see they have the yellow dude who guides you into the catapult.  But when the module starts up my plane is already in the air and just left the deck.  Any thoughts on the problem?
