VPC Airfield Equipment

 I know, I know, there have been a few posts on this and honestly, I've read through them all but I'm still confused!

All I want to know is whether or not there is:
A) a version of this that works in the current DCS Open Beta 2.7.11.21408.1 ?
B) If so, where can I download the correct version and any associated fixes/patches?

I currently have 0.9.4 beta unpacked in my /saved games/DCS/MODS/Tech folder and some of it works but much of it causes a CTD if I even select certain objects in the drop down menus, without even placing them anywhere

until this gets worked out, make sure to make backups of your missions.  I've had this mod completely hose missions I spent hours and days creating.

Eagle Dynamics should modernize the APA-5D Ural 4320 as well as give us some tow bars and other ramp items. I also once used the Virpil mod. Now I am inclined to build these things myself. But that will take a while. However, lack of an official API for modding these things puts a damper on community mods.

I have applied to my copy of this useful Mod (created by @voc ) , all the fixes and updates that have appeared to date. It works fine on my latest DCS Openbeta 2.7.11.21408.1 ... on this video you can see many of the NATO objects included with the Mod ... didnt test every object, as there are a lot, but to date I have not found any trouble with any of its objects:

Here you can download the version that I used on the video .. it is in OvGME format, and divided in two files: one goes on /Saved Games/DCS.openbeta/ while the smaller one goes onto the DCS program folder (usually at C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics):

@Rudel_chw I downloaded and installed but most of the objects are still causing CTD if I even select them, without even placing them. I've done a dcs_updater.exe cleanup and repair, emptied my shaders, updated my GPU drivers, sfc /scannow and DISM repair for windows and nothing has fixed the problem. I'm at a bit of a loss to know what to try next?

Sounds like you just installed the file that goes at /Saved Games/  but not the smaller file that goes onto the DCS program folder (usually at C:/Program Files/Eagle Dynamics).

No, I have installed both, doing it with OvGME and manually. I guess the next thing to try is a re-installation of DCS

You could try first to rename your /saved games/dcs/ folder, say to /saved games/dcs.bak/ … then run dcs, it will ask your user credentials and then create a new default /saved games/dcs/ folder. Exit dcs and copy from /saved games/dcs.bak/ onto the new /saved games/dcs/ the following subfolders: /config and /missioneditor.

Start dcs again and confirm it now works correctly.

Exit dcs and re-enable both components of the vpc mod. Start dcs and test to see if now the vpc mod does work.

Under 2.7.11.22211, some objects from "VPC-airfield Equipment" mod appear to cause black flash/obscuring on IR/LLTV sensors.

Issue is present on ATFLIR and LITENING on F/A-18 (IR and TV), LITENING on F-16C (IR and TV), and AH-64D (IR Only) 

Severe blanking: Part of IR/TV Image turns black and obscures scene fully

Thanks a lot for such a complete report, hopefully when ED fixes the issue with the neutrashimy it will also fix things for this mod too. In the meantime I will have to refrain from using the affected objects (on my case, mostly the Firehouses).

They posted photos of the model in 2021, but for some reason she still hasn't appeared in DCS
