I know this thread is over a year old, but is there any update on this feature? Especially being able to sync between ships?  This is highly important when actually trying to plan a flight, with few viable workarounds.

According to the AH-64D road map the ED Def‘s are working on IDM. So, we still have to be a bit patient. Hopefully we get the functions in the near future.

As other uses have stated, DL Net is required to share any data between aircraft, which is still in development. When this item is released, expect an announcement on the forums here:

To be clear and to manage expectations, the DL Net and Tactical Internet are separate datalinks, the latter of which is not planned. DL Net is the only datalink type that is planned in DCS: AH-64D.
