phant Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 (edited) "...but DCS development is WAY more time consuming than MSFS, so projects must be chosen and planned VERY carefully, otherwise they will fail..." Cita WE ARE DOING A TORNADO FOR MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR and here are some (very) preliminary screenshots. We plan to significantly improve the appearance, and give it a realistic flight model and a reasonably accurate systems simulations. We have good documentation on both the legacy IDS (which will be our baseline model) and the IDS-MLU. We'd like to do the GR1, ECR and possibly the ADV variant too - the latter is depending to the availability of resources. Schmidtfire Posted May 1, 2022 Posted May 1, 2022 (edited) I don't think IndiaFotxEcho will bring that project to DCS. Two seater, very complex. MSFS and DCS are two completely different ballparks coding-wise and what kind of accuracy is expected. Edited May 1, 2022 by Schmidtfire 3
Dragon1-1 Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Well, if they have the license and can pull it off, it's certain to be a big seller. After gaining some experience with G.91, why not? It is complex, but also something much requested by the community. I heard rumors about some sort of license squabble around the Tornado, though, and I don't know on what terms they licensed it for MSFS. They could also ask some other devs for help, like TrueGrit did. Multicrew and two seaters are HB specialty, and I believe that by the time G.91 and the MSFS Tornado are done, the Eurofighter will be long off their plate. 1
Rinz1er Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 (edited) Why not HB just do it themselves then? Edited May 8, 2022 by Rinz1er 1
MAXsenna Posted May 8, 2022 Posted May 8, 2022 Don't think two seaters will be of any trouble. It's kinda like it's a major feature in the MB-339. And it was working in the free one. 2

Dragon1-1 Posted September 17, 2022 Posted September 17, 2022 Looks like AviaStorm has the Tornado covered. We'll see how well that project goes.
Breakaway Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Would love it if they brought their M-346 module over from MSFS along with a few others 5
WRCRob Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 The M-346 would be a pretty great addition to the game especially the FA version.

Right now I think that DCS has, likely hit its limits on trainer light attack aircraft. I'm kind of half expecting ED to announce that they are bringing back the BAE Hawk as they're next module. And that would possibly turn customers away from any more TA types, at least for a while. Right now what I would jump at would be asset packs. Ariete, Centauro, Dardo Freccia, Iveco trucks and MRAPs, Skyguard (Gun & Aspide), Orrizzonte, FREMM,Meastrale + ambious and support units. If you guys could do some asset packs I happily buy them. 1
rkk01 Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Getting a few hours in in the 339… nice cant wait for the DCS version 1
Eldur Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 These guys are bringing the Tohneighdo to Misfis? Sold! Meanwhile, I'll be happily grabbing their new MB-339, eagerly await the Gina and hope for an F-104 next 2
