  1. Hi Grey Gamer, The Tactical DCS Community is focused on training and has many instructors and Mentors that can help you with your questions. Feel free to check out our site https://tacticaldcs.rocks/ or say hi on our discord https://discord.com/invite/tacticaldcs !
  2. I was more referring to be being able to have a centerline tank with the T-pod on the chin for strike missions with heavy ordinance on the inner wing stations. However thanks for the info about it not having an AA mode.
  3. The +1 sd-10 would be cool but I would much rather have the chin mount so you can run a center 800l with the Tpod.
  4. I've read/seen that US ANG F-86H's were used for testing since they were semi close to the Mig 17 in size and performance in Feather duster (great video here) but don't know about earlier .50 cal armed aircraft were used. That being said, SEA camo looks great on any aircraft.
  5. @BIGNEWY - Can we please integrate this mod into the Core F-5 and get it to transfer fuel, this is a great mod for a fun little plane that needs some love.
  6. Has anyone found an easy way to convert an existing profile to work with the 4x2 matrix (plus dials) of the Streamdeck+? I would love to play with some of the existing profiles to fit my needs but the software wont allow me to adjust the matrix to move things around.
  7. At the moment we have a very 1990's spec F-15E and we are working our way towards a 2005-ish spec for CTU-1, Things will be added as we go along and I am sure that the MIDS/Link-16 DL will be added sometime in the future. You have to remember that in real operations, Fighters are never really alone and will have AWACS and GCI support to help with target ID, and SA. In DCS we don't have dedicated controllers 100% of the time which does decrease SA but its not something that can't be overcome.
  8. In my opinion, the Core game would benefit from a multicrew trainer being added into it for new people to get help or to take friends along for "the ride" to bring them in. In terms of lower effort projects that would be based on existing ED IP, I would suggest the T-38 or F-5F for this role. Now if I were to have all the power, I have always said that the A-4 mod should be included with core (or at least have a version management through core for online play) and that the T-45 Goshawk mod needs access to the SDK and all the proper multicrew syncing support to take it to the next level. Both of these mods are fantastic and have their own niche in the game that could be exploited to bring more people into the sim than not.
  9. There is a bit of a gap for those wanting to learn a high performance warbird, and I think the TF-51 would fill the role exactly as it did for the USAF and others during the late 40's and 50's. It would also be a great way to give people "rides" to experience DCS without a pay barrier to bring more people into the community. Just my thoughts.
  10. hell at this point I would just take the bug fixes and pay $10 the AAR probe as an option ala JF-17 and some model cleanup.
  11. In general it would be great to have a multicrew trainer apart of the core game and download. Either that or add the option for the 2 seat D/UB model's to the existing modules for training purposes. Personally I would love to see the T-6, Super Tucano or PC-21 added along with a fully fleshed out Goshawk or TA-4J to be the feeder trainers for the "Big" modules like what the real military uses. I wonder if there would be any legal concerns with licensing the T-45 from Boeing for a free "official" module or perhaps even the T-7A.
  12. I too would love to see a full High end Gripen C/D or E/F. It could be a good PR move to support and allow, plus maybe be used to drum up interest in the military and SAAB products as @Lokattn had mentioned. I love the Viggen attack profile, but I cant stand the mission computer and interface so the Gripen's UI would be a great way to bridge the gaps and bring another amazing (and different) aircraft to the sim.
  13. +1 would be nice to have a new generation of light strike aircraft to play with.
  14. Cheek mounted sensor pod station would be amazing to have just to free up the center line for a 800L tank. I have been enjoying the JF and appreciate that there have been additions to the aircraft. Does anyone know if the PAF uses Aim-9's or 120's from there F-16 fleet on the JF?
  15. The M-346 would be a pretty great addition to the game especially the FA version.
  16. I believe that the plan was to start with the German spec aircraft (since the Devs are former Luftwaffe) and then add other country specs. The Luftwaffe does not have the Pirate system but the RAF Typhoons do, which I feel would be the next model released after the initial release. However that was from the initial announcement and hype pre merger with Heatblur, so things might have changed. Personally I am ok with a franken jet if we can get a great simulation.
  17. It is seeming more and more likely that the JF-17 may be purchased by Argentina in block 3 form. I know that in the past the devs have said certain features were contingent on Pakistans purchase, but with another export customer coming online could/should this effect the module that we have? I wouldn't mind having a HMD and HOB fox2 combo added to the JF, or hell just the 3rd radio to be able to communicate with two channels and still retain the datalink when working with non JF-17's and the chin mount for the tpod. Sounds like whining, but I do love this module. Took it out last night during tactical dcs's Tuesday event and had some fun being the scramble air defense fighter since I was able to get up in the air faster than the F-16s and F/A-18s. Just miss the ability to talk with awacs and the other flights while having the DL on.
  18. you can get close enough with the JF-17, not a direct descendent but spiritually the same idea. its a fun little module.
  19. Would love to know if there was anything happening with this dev team since they've been very quiet (minus the recent patch), I have enjoyed the JF-17 for a while and was wondering if there was anything coming for this year with this aircraft? I think we would all love to see an update to a Block 3 (WS13 or RD93MA engine) config or at least maybe the HMD and a HOB missile combo, but I understand the limitations of what can be released.
  20. I have been working with the Tactical DCS group and participating in their training (both as a mentor and as a student). for aircraft like the A-10, F/A-18 and F-16 it is difficult to help new pilots out when we cannot see what they are seeing in the cockpit. we've worked around this through streaming and observing from their, but it would be helpful to be able to configure a jump seat slot onto an aircraft where an instructor/mentor can ride along in the cockpit and provide help in game rather than clunky 3rd party methods. Ideally I would prefer to have the option of an F-16D and F/A-18D for training new pilots (that is not a Mod) but I know that would be a large undertaking, so a virtual jump seat might be a good way of accomplishing this task with a lower resource commitment.
  21. I would love to get a Block 1 F or late block D with multi-crew just for the multicrew aspect and being able to train someone in the same airframe.
  22. funny thing I keep on seeing is the comments about not having pilot names in WSO AI. Is that when the USAF first got their Phantoms, the WSO was actually a second qualified pilot and not a dedicated WSO crew member. The concept of dedicated radar operators in USAF fighters didn't start till the middle of the vietnam war from what I recollect and it was more for spreading out the number of pilots and aircraft available than fighting force concept (which it turned into, and for the better). 23. I embarrassingly snapped the gear on takeoff a couple times last weekend during the spudsknocker mission, there was a bit a crosswind so it does not seem like the gear handles side loads very well. It's not a carrier aircraft so i wouldn't expect it to take tons of punishment, but still seemed a bit weak compared the F-16's gear (and that's notorious for being fragile).
  24. This makes me very happy, behind the Tomcat and Intruder, this is one of my top 5 favorite aircraft of all time. Looking forward to what models you end up producing!
