Canemista Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 (edited) is this a thing or just some setting on my side? whenever I open up AI overlay the screen moves a bit unless I look perfectly straight (haven't flown the apache for some time and just noticed this just this morning) single monitor setup (1080p) with opentrack here one can see how far the "view" moves when the overlay shows Below is a dropbox link with video and a trk file >link< -----------UPDATE--------- it looks like the overlay is conflicting with headtracker as when without it (just turning head with keyboard) it doesn't happen but when turning any headtracking on (trackir, freetrack - different protocols) the view gets funky and this happens only for AH-64 module Edited July 13, 2022 by Canemista formatting, title fix, update
ED Team Raptor9 Posted July 13, 2022 ED Team Posted July 13, 2022 Judging from the screenshots, your view did in fact shift down and right between those screenshots, which is reflected by the FOV box shifting down and right. But it's difficult to judge using screenshots that are cropped. I've yet to encounter such an issue. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. Floyd1212 Posted July 13, 2022 Posted July 13, 2022 I have noticed this as well. When I activate the AI overlay, the default head position is slightly shifted from my head position when it is off. I have modified my default head position (SnapView 0) by raising the camera slightly, so it's possible the shift is related to that, and someone who hasn't modified that wouldn't notice a change?

I didn't change the Snapviews at all and the FOV is "defaulted". could it be that something changed after update... will clean up the view files and try again..
shagrat Posted July 22, 2022 Posted July 22, 2022 (edited) Exact same issue here. The shift is the bigger the more you look sideways. Edit: and nothing to do with the last update. Noticed this from first release. Was just assuming it's a setting with my 1440p. But seems unrelated to the resolution. No scaling options active for GUI. Fercyful Posted August 9, 2022 Posted August 9, 2022 Have the same problem here. 1920x1080. Using TrackIR. I enable the George AI interface and I notice the "jump" in the screen. Hope it can be fixed soonTM.
srhZSOC Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 Hi, I've got the same issue. Bringing up the George menu in the pilot seat and the view jumps slightly which is a little immersion breaking. The further to the side you are looking the more the view jumps. Happens when I use TrackIR and only in the pilot seat, not in the front seat. If I pause TrackIR then the view does not jump. Not sure if its related but I'm running a multi-monitor setup. I wonder if there is not a jump in the front seat because the George menu appears on the opposite side? Hopefully ED can confirm this bug is on the list? 1
Fercyful Posted September 11, 2022 Posted September 11, 2022 still have the same issue like you srhZSOC but using only one monitor 1920x1080. Tried several things without any luck
Floyd1212 Posted September 12, 2022 Posted September 12, 2022 I can confirm this still happens to me as well. 1
Blazkovitch Posted October 19, 2022 Posted October 19, 2022 Issue is still present in the latest patch. Can we get any update?
Blazkovitch Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 @BIGNEWY is someone looking into this issue? It's still ocurring.
Blazkovitch Posted June 2, 2024 Posted June 2, 2024 (edited) Here's a recording with FOV and "jumping" overlay. Maybe it will help with pinpointing the issue. Strangely, CPG is not affected. Edited June 2, 2024 by Blazkovitch
amadeus Posted November 27, 2024 Posted November 27, 2024 (edited) EDIT: For some reason when i posted this, all the text was gone and it only included the images. Ok, let me retry this, one second: I'm a bit late to this thread but I was messing around with head tracking settings last night and started having this issue. I figured out what appears to be the source of the bug and how to work around it for now. For context, for head tracking I use OpenTrack where i generally use a Tobii Eye Tracker device or iPhone with it. For starters if you go into control settings for ah-64d pilot and goto the Axis Commands section, you should notice two columns of binds for head tracking, TrackIR and HeadTracker as seen here: it appears the bug is somehow related to the HeadTracker binds -- so what I did was click the little black down arrow in the HeadTracker column, and selected "Clear Category". It should now look like this: This appears to fix the bug. If this ends up breaking your headtracking completely for whatever reason, you can easily restore the default settings again by clicking the down arrow under HeadTracker and select "Reset category to default": If for whatever reason you don't have any binds for TrackIR -- do the "Reset category to default" for the TrackIR column. Hopefully this helps some of you out, and hopefully it gives ED some insight into this bug for them to fix! Edited November 27, 2024 by amadeus
